"I felt there were some design decisions, like the grindy levelling up mechanic, that were a little bit disappointing. I know it wouldn't have been a step forward but I would have preferred to have seen the classic use of licenses to unlock events, and that's what drives your ability to actually access those events, rather than time spent doing the same race 15 times to then unlock the next race."
Never had to do a race 15 times to progress to the next event...
Good score, on my list.
In the end there will be only chaos!
GTA IV was pretty tiresome, it all felt a bit repetitive and in the end a bit of chore to finish.
I'm most looking forward to Agent and L.A Noire. I think they need to really think outside the box for GTA V, maybe if there was some way in which you could recruit and build your own gang/mob they could then add some more variety to the story and missions..
Sounds ok I guess. I'm still hoping to see something more traditional in the future but for now I just hope this restores some of my faith in the FF series. At the moment I'll trust Nomura to deliver something really good.
If the game is in any way hardcore people will just get knackered very quickly, boxing properly takes it out of you. I suspect there'll have to tone it right down to the kind of stuff we saw on the Wii.
G-Police and ZoE for me, on the PS3 those would rock big time.
G-Police for me as well, loved that game and on todays hardware that would rock big time. Also still waiting for ZoE.
Classic N4G. I'm lucky if I click on 1 link a day on this site there is so much garbage and dross on here.
Of the top 12 articles 4..yes 4 are opinion pieces which I have no time for, I'm here for News. 1 is Rumour and 3 are News articles. Based on the fact this is supposed to be News piece tells you the standard and quality of the journalism floating around in the N4G toilet these days.
Good to see GT5 still powering on, as with most PS games it's showing great legs. Congrats to MM as well, I'll probably skip on LBP2 right now as I don't have any free time but I might pick it up in a couple of months.
I won't get too carried away yet although the signs here do look good. I'd still like a turn based FF this generation however it looks like the KH/CC style is here to stay. I do like both KH and CC so I'm ok with the battle mechanics but I still wish for a FF7/8/10 style game this generation.
I enjoyed Crisis Core so no issue for me. Anyway this isn't the real issue, what I myself want to see is the following
1) Towns
2) Maps
3) Proper summons (FF7, 8 or 10 style)
4) Junction system similar to FF8, for me still the best one there has been.
5) Party Control
Yeah I watch quite a bit on iPlayer as I often miss things or forget to record them on Sky. It's a real bonus having it on the PS3. I can pretty much do everything now from games to movies and television to music, it really is the hub in my house.
Didn't enjoy 13 for the various reasons most people state. I'll be passing on this.
Ah over Christmas as well, poor kids. I feel for the guy, should have bought a PS3. Maybe he'll learn for the future.
I totally didn't know this existed. Interesting read, 11 dollars a month is nothing so I'm going to get involved in this. Looks really good, my PS3 will soon become the hub for everything in my house which makes everything nice and simple.
I actually played the demo of tiger woods when I got my Move controller and I have to say it was pretty impressive. As a golfer I was straight into it and hitting some nice and accurate stuff. My brother who was playing with me and isn't a golfer was all over the place initially until he started thinking about his swing and getting it right, I also gave him some tips ;)
Looking forward to this game.
Decent year. Article is pretty good, conflicting statements regarding Milo at the end of the article are pretty funny.
Agreed, for me the eyes are crucial and it's why I consider Heavy Rain to be one of the best experiences this year.
You could be waiting a while, the nature of this game is that you will always have new mods, tracks and karts being released by the community and development team. Its very much like LBP in that regards.
I'd recommend you buy it now, although I haven't played it since much since reaching level 30 its a real blast.
