Really looking forward to this and everything in the preview gives me comfort. I think it could be one of the best JRPGs we see this gen. After the mega disappointment of FF XIII I'm praying we finally get a decent classic JRPG with this.
Playing that looks painful. Square finally produce a turn based rpg but stick it on hardware I don't want to play it on, I'm not sure if I should laugh or cry. I hope they bring this to Vita.
I sort of agree, compared to Oblivion its better but is that saying much? I'm comparing it to what I've played recently and I highly reccomend Witcher 2 if you haven't played it, the combat in that I found much more rewarding even though I died a lot at the beginning. You can't get away with hack/slash in Withcer 2. In Skyrim I've only played a couple of hours but have had no issues hacking my way through which feels a bit cheap to me.
For me the UI for Inventory is very poor so not sure where that guy is coming from and I find the combat pretty average, particularly the lack of any skill around blocking/parrying. I've just played The Witcher 2 and find the combat in that to be streaks ahead of Skyrim.
Getting this mod asap. The current UI is nothing short of terrible, really what were they thinking.
On a general note enjoying the game although not sure its better than the Witcher 2, I'll reserve judgement until the end though.
So for Xbox owners you pay MS to play online and then pay Activision for some more enhanced online stuff. Something is deeply wrong here. You all need to stop feeding these guys your money, a day will come when you have to pay Activision just to play the game online if you keep this up...
Yep same here, I've noticed it struggling a bit with The Witcher 2 as well. Pretty depressing really. I've got the cash so will upgrade but feel for those that don't.
@baodeus
I think the fact you don't get his point 4 kinda says it all.
And the combat system is lame, when you can just sit there hitting auto all the way through the battle and end up winning probably 95% of the fights in the game that is lame and I'm sorry there is nothing tactical about hitting auto.
Anyway each to his own I guess but personally I gave XIII a 5/10 at best. Looking forward to X but its sad I have to play the old c...
I would love to see a new homeworld game. Hoping this is true.
@starchild
hay is right about double standards, look at Final Fantasy. Massively inferior on the 360 yet no fuss kicked up on sites like IGN. I agree with you though here the difference is small so not worth raising an issue over.
Cool I might try pick the first one up then if I have time. I much prefer large story based games and tactical stuff so if its heavy on those bring it on.
I've only just got back into PC gaming since I got a sweet new rig. Is this like Oblivion? Do I need to play the first one? Looks awesome.
Interesting as there was some talk with HTML 5 on the way Silverlight would struggle to find a home.
My god please can we stop it with these articles, there's like 5 in the top 10. It was old and boring yesterday!
Complete racket in Shift 2. A lambo sounds nothing like that when your driving it. GT5 hands down.
Yeah I just got a new rig recently so I'm good for this. Looks sick.
Ahh the weekly kinect "were really going to deliver" article.
I got mine in December and am using it for KZ3 at the moment. I would definitely recommend it for KZ3 and indeed I owned my brother the other day on multiplayer so now he's of out to get one.
Move is selling well and as with most things Sony will just pump in solid number month after month.
Only one I've got on that list is the Heroic Surivivor one, it was pretty hard. I tried to do some of the hard Street Fighter ones but that was a total joke.
Witcher 2 pretty much smoked everything when it was released and still smokes most games today so I'm pretty sure these guys will deliver. Can't wait for this, personally Witcher 2 was easily GOTY for me and was so much better than games like Skyrim.
