That's exactly the same reason why I'm buying all digital this gen with the exception of sports titles. Plus I upgraded my PS4 HDD to 2TB. Hopefully bigger laptop drives will come out or Sony will allow external HDDs in the near future.
I hope they leave out the bloaters. It was ok as a gaming element but it will blow in movie format.
Exactly. The pricing model is all over the place, it needs to be unified.
And for those of the mindset $15 for 30 days is $0.50 a day and 90 days is $0.25 per day, why don't you think of buying the system in the same way? A PS3 (new) can be bought for $200. That's $0.55 per day for a year. The same price of renting 4 games with the 90 day pricing. You could own the system for that price and every game you buy you can think of it in the same manner. $65 game = $0.18 p...
TLOUR. The Last (H)our.
Don't know what that means but I just noticed it now and chuckled slightly aloud. My girlfriend is looking at me funny now.
But seriously, TLOUR is amazing. I had beaten TLOU twice the first time around bit this time it is just as breathtaking. The upgraded resolution and framerate makes this great ga e even greater.
I wonder how many people bought Blu-Ray copies of movies they already owned on DVD? Had it on VHS but then bought it on DVD? and are any of those people saying this is just the same game with better resolution?
My sentiments exactly. I loved the PvE. Those raid events were awesome. I just wish there was a way to communicate with those outside of your fire team. The map of Old Russia was a bit disappointing , though. The way the story missions were laid out on the map made it look like the levels would be in totally different locales.
I did not play the crucible too much, maybe five or so matches. I didn't like it at first but by the fourth or fifth match I was getting the hang of it. Th...
After watching that comparison, I feel like the PS4 version has that Soap Opera effect you get with TVs that simulate 240Hz. I think that feeling is only because I'm watching the game and not playing it cause I don't get that feeling when playing PC games or any other game at 60 fps. I don't remember if I noticed that effect on other PS4 or XBO titles that are at 60 fps, though.
Oh well, one more day and I can find out for myself. I wish PS had started the preloading with...
I've bought almost all my games for my XBO but I've been enamored with the Destiny beta for PS4. So much so that I kept saying "Xbox, record that", only to feel like an idiot when I realized I'm holding a DS4. The share button worked great though and managed to catch some cool stuff that happened a few minutes before I tried to record. That 15 minutes really comes in handy. The XBO CAN DO 5 minutes but it's a bit cumbersome to activate that.
Anyways...
I preordered on PSN for the same games as well. I wish the XBO would have preorders and preload as well. I can't wait for Destiny but I'll be pretty busy till then with TLOU, Abe's Odyssey, Lego Marvel, Injustice and a couple other games I recently picked up. That superheroes sale on PSN was awesome. Injustice and Lego marvel for under $20 was amazing.
The game looks good on the Xbox One, just not as good as the PS4 version. The Xbox One beta is running at 900p. The full version will be 1080p. But the increased resolution does not increase the AA and other graphical settings. However, when comparing screen shots tot he PS4, there are some things missing or items have a different look to them. I noticed the rust detail on some walls look different on each version. This suggests, to me, that the Xbox One beta may be a much earlier version tha...
What's the difference between piracy and borrowing, trading, renting a game?
Renting means that the company doing the renting paid the publisher/developer for the rights to rent so many games.
Borrowing. How long can you borrow for? Usually it's not forever and even then the line stops with usually one or two friends. It's similar to renting but the publisher/company isn't making any money of the borrowing.
Trading. Between f...
That was my mindset starting out. I have about 16 games for the Xbox One including the three free games with Gold. I have about 19 games on PS4. About 16 were free with PS+. I think it's AC4, Flower, and Chess. Oh and I bought Trine 2 before it was free.
I like the Xbox controller better. But playing the Destiny beta these past couple of days has got me used to playing a FPS with the DS4. I think I may start to buy more games for the PS4. Maybe I'll go where the excl...
I've been trying to redeem my beta code for over two hours. I finally got it to work and hit the download button. It finished in two seconds. I clicked on the Destiny Beta app icon thinking I'm gonna play now. Nope, installation screen. I'm at 5% at the moment but I gotta say these pictures on the installation screen are amazing. This wait is killing me.
I woke up this morning hoping to see my code on the Bungie site and nothing. Check N4G only to find this article at the top. I have a few errands to run at 12:00 but should be home at 1:30-2:00. How long should 14GB take to download with 5MB down?
Lol. That's the crappy part about buying digital. There no chance of a mistake like that ever happening.
Physical > Digital
P.S.
I have bought about 20 games this gen. All of them digital.
I just bought my nephew a PS4 at GameStop and got Watch Dogs for $10 more. I returned the game to Target and got $65 store credit. I used the credit to buy PSN cards. I pre-ordered the game on the PS store. So in the end, I spent $10 for TLOU.
My deal was better.
I sold my PS3 to pay for my PS4 about 3 months before the PS4 was released in order to maximize my return. So, I haven't played TLOU for about a year. I've forgotten most of the story so it will be somewhat new to me. The mp was awesome and there's no other game like it for the PS4 or the XB1. TLOU is one of the games that make me regret selling my PS3. Uncharted and God of War are the others that I want to play so badly again. I was thinking about buying a PS3 again but I'm p...
14 days exactly till TLOU.
I guess my disagrees were because I didn't comment about the article directly. Maybe it's because I indirectly compared 505 Games to Bungie, like Bungie can't get Destiny to 1080 on the One. I believe they can get to 1080 but there will be sacrifices, maybe not as many as Sniper Elite, but sacrifices that most likely won't be made for the PS4 version.
I have 19 indie games, AC4, and MGS: GZ for PS4 to 5 indie games and 15...
I was on the fence about which console to get Destiny for. Now, my choice is clear. I will not make another Sniper Elite mistake. I have many more Xbox Live friends than PSN friends but it's always nice to meet new people. Plus, I'll be playing TLOU in two weeks so I'll probably meet new friends there that are getting Destiny as well. Now I have to get used to playing FPS games with the DS4.
I don't really care how many units are sold but it does have an effect on how we play games, mp game specifically. The more units sold the larger the community, more people to play with.
As for the "all we buy is one a piece" comment, I have two units of each. XBO and PS4 in my bedroom and one of each in my living room. It's easy to play with friends in my living room (Primary/Home console) then my bedroom and sometimes I want the privacy of playing in my bedroom....
