I played both Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 on the Xbox 360.
I just downloaded the PS3 ME2 Demo. I had no problems with the visuals anymore than I did when I played the 360 retail version.
The game has its moments where it looks great, and in other areas not so much.
But as I played, even though I was doing so only for a graphical analysis, I realized why I love the game and what truly makes it great.
And guess what: it's...
I don't think I've ever disagreed as much with a top ten list as with this one.
But if this is what they think, then cool. I just think differently.
I agree with everything in RedDeadDestroyer's comment.
The game-play looks atrocious and no fun at all. If the fun is to be had making the levels, then I could see it being entertaining for a while.
However, I do think that the game is a blast to watch (partially because it's just a visually impressive game), but anything worthwhile already has or probably will be posted to Youtube - besides, if it's no fun to play, then just being able to watch i...
I laughed at your #5
As far as new franchises this generation go, Mass Effect is definitely among the top 3 best, without question. (this is my opinion, obviously)
I played ME & ME2 on the Xbox 360, and for anyone who is considering getting ME2 on the PS3, I recommend you do just that. Even if you don't find yourself agreeing with my opinion after-wards, I would bet that you still would have enjoyed ME2 in one way or another.
That video got so much better as it went on.
It's just that the base gameplay (the on-foot ground fights) is so incredibly boring. Easily the worst thing in KZ2, and that was basically the entire game. It puts me to sleep.
But this game is shaping up to be more than that. I am impressed.
I used to play this game at the arcade in Chuck E. Cheese's with my sisters many years ago... those are some good memories.
I'm tempted to buy it now just for the nostalgia.
I agree. It's ridiculous and embarrassing that the people above think this.
And as usual, the title of this article isn't even a direct quote. People need to learn to read or keep their mouths shut (or their fingers tied, whatever).
Any chance they'll eventually release all three games in a bundle?
That's the only reason I haven't gotten either of the two games already out, and why I don't plan on picking this up when it releases.
IMO, Mass Effect 2 was the better game.
I didn't say 'wow', but I mouthed the words while watching the video in awe. :D
The visuals are impressive - might be day 1 just because I'm excited now, haha.
First Resistance game I'll be getting.
First Resistance game worth getting.
I own 2 of those: Killzone 2 & MGS4.
Only 3 other games on that list interest me, the others are meh.
Can't say I care which will look better, because as long as it's not an eyesore and plays well, I'm cool with it.
That said, if Deus Ex: HR has good gameplay, it'll already be better than Killzone in my book - looks just aren't everything.
I'm going off of the impressions of others, but it seems the PS3 version under-performs significantly compared to its counterparts... and that's a shame. Sorry if the game is considerably upsetting to you - it shouldn't be that way.
But, I hope the issues aren't as bad on the 360 version. I literally just opened the case up and put it in my console to install. Crossing my fingers.
Those are some good gift ideas for the PS3 gamer.
And oddly enough, the thing I want most (besides maybe a great racing wheel) are the Gioteck Real Triggers. I'm thinking that with those, I would enjoy my games more.
Cheap, but effective. No more sliding down the slippery slopes that are L2 and R2. :P
Gamecube <3
I'll find this out soon enough myself, but it seems the smoke effect is identical to that of the mist and snow being kicked up behind the vehicles during certain weather conditions.
Is that correct?
I'll put MGS4 back in my PS3 when it gets trophy support.
If it never happens (I'll give it a few more years lol...), then I'll finally play through it a final time.
Also, I think the longer I wait, the more I'll enjoy it when I experience it again.
It's been a great day.
But with this news, it just got better.
