I think we can all agree that the PS3 had hit a snag at the beginning of the year, but everything has been rosie for Sony since Summer, and it's only gotten better. Sony has improved and will continue to improve. We saw it with PSone, PS2 and the PS3 is no different.

You want games & movies in HD, music and all that crap, get a PS3.
Keep in mind that news reporters, moms, dads and kids are basically not aware that the Wii has a bunch a crappy games. They complain about complicated controllers because they don't play real games. Everyday on gaming web sites we see Wii owners that are pissed about the fact that there are no good games.
And this reporter didn't even know the price of the PS3. "2 to 3 times more expensive"? There aren't any PS3 going for $750 in the market.

I think the Wii has done a good job of making a new audience play bad games. Before it was a joy stick and 8 buttons, now you can just wave your arms at a bad game

2008 PS3 will definitely close the gap between it and it's competitors. I don't think it'll take the lead but with the great games coming out and the fantastic exclusives it's going to be a damn good year for Sony, the Nintendorks and X-BOts will see their lead shrink to nothing come 2008.
Capabilities of both the PSP and the PS3 is the perfect model for all future consoles/handhelds.
