I gotta agree with you there.
You gotta remember that they probably offset the low entry price with the cost of memory cards. When the vita was first announced so many people said I'd cost $300-$400 at the least so I think that's what happened. PS+ did the same for the PS4 I'm sure.
They obliviously thought they had more time to get the Xbox together. I'm guessing they would have revealed the XB1 at E3 '14.
That's exactly why they have to force it on people. It won't make a difference though simple because the kinect games are horrid. The people that want motion controls should have the option to buy them, like the people don't should have the option not to.
All this talk about kinect yet no one even knows WhyTH they want. If it didn't come with kinect they'd never even buy one.

The PSN on the PS3 will be completely different from PS+ on the PS4.
Well if you really wanted to be fair you'd have to add the extra cost of the better hardware of the PS4. Plus adding the camera which is not needed is like the XB1 coming with an extra controller you don't want and charging you for it.
The ps3 is the reason blu-ray is the new disk format and it still managed to out sell the Xbox which had a years headstart. That was a smart move.
It's sold less than 4 million since it launched...and that was when it was only going against the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Lets say the price does drop $100 by that time the PS4 will drop $100 too. There are NO positives to kinect being force on anyone. All these people defending a expensive overhyped camera with no evidence that games will in fact be better with kinect. Smh.
