Your comparing a cell phone or laptop to a camera that is constantly looking at you. Are people forgetting the camera can recognize faces! The NSA would be stupid to not jump on this and use it. If our government can spy on our own allies then you better believe they have no problem spying on us.

PS1 & PS2- no competition they were spoiled and got cocky. PS3 humbled them and not the shooting for the stars.

I like the DS4. The touch pad, built-in speaker and built in Light bar can add a whole new depth to games.

20 million people bout the original kinect but what ever came out of it? Sony had the Eyetoy(which I bought) and it was fun but they realized there's only so much you can do with a camera. That's why it's not mandatory. In fact I don't think any other company beside MS would try and make a non essential accessory mandatory.
Why? You could buy it if you wanted it.
@below- I don't want or need a touch pad on the controller but it doesn't cost any extra to have it so that's not really a fair comparison. In fact it cost less that the Xbox 1 controllers. So whether devs support it or not doesn't matter.
