Trouble is, the Vita uses mobile-class parts, but the mobile-component makers will be moving onto newer, cooler, faster, higher-res parts for the next generations of phones, on the mega-production lines.
So the Vita will be waiting on the smaller production facilities around Asia that can't handle huge volume spikes (not sure how many parts are non-Sony, but IIRC its a fair amount of the hardware.
Unless Sony upgrade the Vita in the next year or so, it ...
shame but no surprise, I'd have thought Hideo would have been more interested in coming up with something original for the Vita that wouldn't eat up years of development time.
Setting up any of these next-gen consoles is going to be a nightmare - http://xboxnextroundup.blog...
They forgot Batman Returns on the Lynx... amateurs
Are we going back to GLIDE?
Well, in that case they were stupid targets, the game itself is certainly not to blame. These aren't the PlayStation One days.
With some 150,000+ games made since the first general CPU came out, I'm pretty sure you can find any one game theme in dozens of others, stop being an ass and enjoy the game.
I suspect he meant truck-loads-of-cash-from-huge- sales...
Sure, the Vita hasn't sold as well at launch, but it has years to go. I believe, the aim was to make money on memory cards at the start, and then from the console over the longer term.
Sony seems confident it has the games support this year, so we'll see.
If it fails, hey I can still play a bunch of great games on the go...
Brutal news, glad I only played the first Ep. on Xbox... bring on those moral dilemmas (and whacking zombies)
If you know about it, its doing fine with a decent line-up of games coming out week after week, not all are stellar hits sure, but there's some top gaming to be had.
If you don't know about it, then Sony are hardly advertising it outside the PSN blog which is a big shame.
Will the touchscreen improve the gameplay in any of the ways that big-screen consoles suffered with?
My only feeling here is that Pachter serves himself (or his "brand") first and in no way supports the industry. His job at Webush(advising big-league investors on gaming companies) should mean he isn't allowed to gabble on about games and publishers due to conflict of interest.
And by news sites publishing every dumb word he says, they are only helping to promote him and his brand.
Just started playing as its finally out in EU... wow that was three hours ago! Back hurts, need drink, must play more....... wotta game!
I think the word should be solidarity... but hey-ho!
War ain't over yet! But they've lost one, drawn one so its not looking good.
The next Invizimals (Vita,PSP and iOS - not sure if its a full game or a spin-off) is already out in its native Spain, guess we're waiting on a translation for the rest of the world - http://psp2roundup.blogspot...
Umm, 3DS is selling enough in Japan for Capcom not to worry about millions of defectors suddenly rushing to try a game THEY CAN ALREADY PLAY on their 3DS on another platform.
Sorry, don't buy that logic
There's loads of extra kit you can buy in game, either by collecting in-game Ark cash, or buying with micro transactions. Depends if you want to grind for stuff or pay for it up front.
I submitted the story hours ago, when it wasn't up on the Vita store.
