What's your point?
Microsoft doesn't use common sense all the time :)
Because Microsoft has to deliberately obfuscate their location in order to not have any difficulty clearing existing non-jasper stock.
That's not a conspiracy, just common sense.
Motion+ is a huge leap. I have a friend who went hands on with it and he described it as being something closer to 1:1 movement recognition as opposed to the chops and swipes available to current Wii games.
Take it with a grain of salt until you've tried it yourself, but it warrants keeping an eye on it I think.
I conquer with this statement.
Studios are splitting down the middle regarding co op and whether to use it or not.
There are games that feature it prominently: Halo, Resistance, GRAW, gears, etc
And there's: Bioshock, Half Life (series), MGS, etc that will probably always be single player without co op.
Usually leaving co op out is done for narrative reasons - accounting for the possibility (but not certainty) of multiple players is restrictive to the storytelling in a lot ways. Take ...
GTAIV had as much hype.
Halo 3 had as much hype.
Rockstar and Bungie have golden-child status in the media though, so it will be interesting to see how GG goes by comparison.
Can some one enlighten me:
Bluray is supposedly under constant threat from digital downloads - discs on the way out, etc, etc... What I don't get is how that makes sense when digital downloads don't offer 1080p video?
The whole point of Bluray is 1080p - the extreme jump in quality and detail. That's the selling point. That's THE point.
I would have thought a more logical argument that digital downloads will be a competitor to regular DVD, since we're ta...
I just re-read this...Holy crap is it funny.
First time I just kinda found it annoying, but looking again especially at the title "Blu-ray format could be in jeopardy, might bring down PS3 with it"...It's priceless.
That video is kinda awesome actually...
Like a cross between Ninja Gaiden and Killzone.
Hooray for sensationalist articles that incite dogmatic fear!
It sure is a good thing that pedophiles can't pray on children anywhere else on the internet...
I think only the Wii is truly 'safe' from this situation since the online interaction is barely existent, but the Wii's online set up sucks as a result. You can bet your life that this very same author would have at some stage outright rubbished the PS3's online capabilities if they barely existed.
...
Wouldn't you have needed to give Xbox Consumers the option of Bluray in order to know what the level of want for it there is?
You can't base it off HD DVD sales because at that stage people were held back by dual format uncertainty.
"Mass Effect as a new ip after 2 months of sales sold 1.6 million worldwide. "
So Mass Effect sold LESS than LBP in the same time frame. Are you saying LBP is better than Mass Effect? I like it.
It's funny...I don't remember anyone ever calling Mass Effect a flop, but if it sold less than LBP, well, you figure it out...
Do you know anyone that believes there's a conspiracy? I've never seen that claim in so many words, at least by anyone being serious about it.
The "conspiracy" you're referring to is an invention by people who make fun of those that claim there's a large buildup of (not necessarily connected) specific anti PS3 bias.
You can say "All websites hate the PS3 and write biased articles against it" without insinuating that an organized conspiracy is to b...
And on a serious note, this is a recession. That means jobs everywhere.
It's bad, but hopefully we're out of the red sooner rather than later.
So now the 360 is doomed.
Right?
...right?
Who would have thought that only the Wii would prevail and live on...What a generation this has been...
Isn't 8 million sort of a small lead to be claiming victory?
Yep.
Even scientists are biased in their expected outcomes as they set out to prove or disprove theories, forcing the scientific community as a whole to rely on the principals of 'scientific method' to arrive at a somewhat guaranteed 'truth' eventually.
To expect any type of media outlet to be free from bias when such a thing can't be found anywhere else in society is ludicrous.
Everybody writes with influence drawn from personal feelings, preferences, a...
For the record, I actually think the article (though wrong) has been well written, and I thought the historical/cultural background info was interesting.
It's just misguided, and has a title that dubiously follows the same tired trend of attention seeking.
Sony might be in for some changes, but the PS3 isn't going anywhere. There's some freakin truckloads of money currently invested in games that are yet to be released for a start! People have to get real.
Just write one.
Anyone can start a blog, and any old blog entry is gaming news.
Apparently.
Rowland himself (who, interestingly, posted the last PS3 is doomed blog entry as well) can help you get it approved.
Well why not?
Nothing's changed since November. Same major exclusives, same pricepoints, same economic climate.
