hahah..

The Gears line is in the metacritic blurb. I have to admit, that's kinda funny...
Yes I read it, and fanboyism is still the feeling I got.
I think all of his thoughts on KZ2 are probably right, but if he wants to be taken seriously, just leave out the stupid lines that diss another awesome game.
This review lost all credibility with the Gears 2 remark.
I mean I'm HANGING OUT for Killzone 2 and I'm sure it's an awesome game, but to call Gears 2 a "highschool attempt" puts this reviewer in fanboy territory and I would take everything else with a grain of salt.
Gears 2 is an awesome game, and there's absolutely no need or reason to pretend that it's anything less.
Personally I think KZ2 will be better than Gears 2, but jeez, keep the rema...
The price drop will be before April.
March is my call.
Killzone2 sales will boost PS3's unit numbers for Feb and some of March, but the boost will be deemed "not enough" and will lead to fresh rounds of hyperbole and journalistic stupidity.
Shortly afterwards a modest price cut will be announced.
Please save the PS3 obiwan, you're our only hope...
The evil 360 is selling slightly more units each year, and it's DOOOOOOOOMED doomed I tell ya yep.
Such a big fuss made when it was announced for 360...
Everybody was shouting about a MASSIVE BLOW TO PS3, and all the other usual hyberbolic crap...
I think by the time this comes out now the effect on the two consoles will be totally insignificant. The prices of consoles will have come down, there's be more dual-owners, the generation will be in the latter half and the new 'battlefront' (future gen) will already be forming.
The Mayan's never explicitly said that the next cycle wouldn't include video games. It's all good dude...
Infinity Ward didn't do World at War.
They should just run Ballet of Death as a tv spot.
It has a similar sort of tone as the old Mad World Gears ad, which when I saw it for the first time (on a cinema big screen waiting for a film to start) well and truly caught my attention.
Ballet of Death has that same counter-point - the same 'what the...?".
It'd be sweet.
I loved Kings Bounty back in the early nineties (it might have been made in the late 80s(?)...that's just when I played it).
I could probably play this for nostalgia alone.
So what?
I'm a gamer and I'm also interested in news about house prices, the environment, and the latest rare dog breed from tibet.
Let's just run all that stuff through N4G because I'm a gamer and I'm interested in it?
The Tech News section is for Tech News about gaming!
What the hell does Word have to do (IN THE SLIGHTEST) with the gaming world?
WHAT THE HELL?!
Is this site called "News for Gamers"? or should we just rename it "News"?
Your definition of fanboy is completely wrong.
Definition: "Fanboy (sometimes spelled fanboi) is a term used to describe an individual who is devoted to a single subject in an emotional or fanatical manner"
I say the author is not a fanboy because fanboyism would have prevented him from writing something honest like that. Extreme fanboyism would have actually prevented him admitting to himself he enjoyed it in the first place.
It has nothing to...
Wow three to five hours.....ok. That's less than I expected.
Still on the flip side, I'll take it as a sign that Bungie is focusing on other awesome things instead :D
Time to flip the switch on Durandal I say.
You must be wearing your 360 goggles then, because I've read it both ways a number of times.
As I said, not all writers are fanboys.
Also, if you think there are more Sony fanboys than MS fanboys just because there's more vocal ones on N4G then you're completely out of touch with reality.
The internet in general is overflowing with fanboys of all kinds and the torrents of useless bile they clumsily belch in our faces on a daily basis. That's why this sto...
I'm curious about it.
"standalone" and "expansion" are sort of contradictory to me. I guess it means they're creating the expectation that the engine and core technology behind the game won't be changing from Halo 3, and instead they'll focus on a new story, maybe new weapons, new multiplayer modes, etc.
It's Bungie's last Halo game so I'm sure they'll want to go out with a bang on that franchise.
I wish they'd just hurry up and remak...
The author of the article is not a fanboy.
You see, not being a fanboy is what allows people to have a nice and well-adjusted outlook on gaming, and just focus on fun.
More people should try it.
Crab, lots of PS3 sites ran the articles where Ted Price was giving praise to Gears 2 for its artwork and polish. That's just one instance off the top of my head.
Generally any publication that isn't run by idiots will do this from time to time, on both sides.
Last year OzXbox360 ran a mini preview on MGS4 with a similar tone.
This is disappointing...I love co-op in games.
I can understand leaving it out - as I said in another story I think the decision is probably because they want complete story telling freedom within the campaign and for it to be immersive and personal.
As long as the Multiplayer modes support great teamplay it's all good.
You can tell these guys are going nuts for KZ2 at IGN...they obviously have a bunch of stuff ready for when the embargo lifts, and in the meantime they just want to release ANYTHING they can...
It's a good sign.
