Save yourself the money and time and skip both. I am sure you don't need to play XIII to get XIII-2's story. It wasn't that good IMHO.
If Square really listened to it's fans, they would put more effort to finish Versus XIII, they would've remade Final Fantasy VII and they would have already been in production for Kingdom Hearts III. Just saying. It's just my opinion, you guys are totally allowed to buy into the Square hype and get disappointed when playing another Final Fantasy XIII.

I agree with every one here too. Versus XIII is the last game that people actually have faith that it will be a good game. SE this gen have messed up bad and they know it. That's why they are letting Nomura take his time. But they need to know when to let fans know whats going on and the time is NOW! Let us see more of VERSUS XIII!
I wonder if they were let go or they quit. Publisher relations could have been better and marketing... well lets just say it was almost non existent. Sony would do well in getting people who could do better at their jobs.

It's always sad to see companies crumble and disapper over time and see hard working people get laid off. I hope every employee at GamePro can bounce back from this. I wish them all the best of luck.
I respect your opinion on the matter. As long as people explain why they dislike or like something that is alright with me. I have a problem with fans thinking that Square were listen to them when they made the sequel but if they were listening to the fans about how much they WANTED Versus and did not want anything else from that universe than they would not have even considered making a sequel to XIII until Versus was done.

Lol me too. I get goosebumps every time I watch that trailer from earlier this year. It will be one epic of a game. The producers of the game have shown a lot of excitement, even saying that they think everyone will cry at least once in the game. That is showing signs of likable characters that people can attach themselves to. That's why this game looks to be so grand, epic and emotional.
Unfortunately that is how the gaming industry works. It takes a lot of passionate, hard working individuals to make a single game.
If you were in game development you would understand.
