Very interesting. I wanted to play Lord of Apocalypse and Final Fantasy X on my Vita so this news gets me pumped up.
If I may add to the excitement fire here, I was just confirmed for E3 2012. Guess what this years theme is..... "Innovation Unveiled".
I gotta give Square Enix marketing credit. They are trying really hard to get people to buy this game. It's almost funny how hard they are trying even though Square ended XIII just fine and there was never a need for a sequel.
But the Official Xbox Magazine is? Lol.
Edit: so you believe that a bunch of japanese consumers who bought and played XIII-2 are less creditable than a magazine that square can easily influnce. I would rather believe a group of people who love the final fantasy series rather than one person from a magazine.

I have never said anything like that. I said that I didn't enjoy Final Fantasy XIII's world, characters, battle system or story. This game is more of XIII world, characters and story. So I made the logical conclusion that I MAY NOT like XIII-2. I have said on numerous occasions that I will give XIII-2 a shot.

Then they will have to bet all their marbles on Final Fantasy Versus XIII. They have not churned out one good HD console game this gen. If Final Fantasy XIII-2 bombs in the west too than their last opportunity to strike gold this gen will be Versus XIII. They will have to throw all their marketing money into Versus XIII... at least I hope so. At least as much as XIII-2 is being marketed.
It seems like this season they wanted to choose the most "WTF really?!?!" people out there. They even got a snookie clone in the show. I liked the last two seasons but my god will this season be a nightmare.
Isnt it at this point that retailers are running out of stock? Sony shipped only 500,000 and since launch (what is it 2 weeks and 2 days ago?) they have sold basicly 450,000 of those units. That's still a lot and I am hearing on the neogaf forums that Vita's are becoming hard to find.
That is a very wide margin of error. These guys obviously have never taken a statistics class. Action RPG's have done extremely well this gen. Look at the Kingdom Hearts games and you can see that. Kingdom Hearts is Square's second biggest franchise and it's an Action-RPG.
And we shall all see if XIII-2 is any good. By Sev's account (and most Japanese consumers) I am going ahead and guessing that it isn't that great.
