does MM own the ip or sony?
the launch 360s have a 33 percent failure rate, the ones out right now have a falcon motherboard with a failure rate of 16 percent. MS will release the new jasper chip with the 360s (this september) that also should reduce the failure rate.
MS will fix rrod and sony will release awesome exclusives, both this year. Everyone should be happy...
after getting the mgs4 bundle i feel like i totally ripped sony off. the ps3 is defenitely worth what your paying for and you get everything right out of the box.

im saying that based on the fact that gears 2 will be using the same engine as the first. we just cant deny that mgs4 is the best looking game to be released and will remain that way for a long time. im not saying that gears 2 will look bad though, and i also dont think we'll see anything better graphically until kz2...

Gears 2 looks good but is miles behing mgs4 and uncharted.
the ps3 is only 5 million away- the 360 had a year head start of "the triple" it SHOULD be double, but its not
ps3 has the best lineup this year-socom,R2,LBG, mgs4, and motorstorm.

bluray will become standard before digital downloads are even introduced-disks are what people are accustomed to, and are much more accessible,
jesus this wouldnt be an issue if they didnt do that amazing tech demo

sorry to sound like a noob but how big (or small) is the difference between the game being compressed and uncompressed? Also, how will SE handle the 360 version?

i think it appeals to both the hardcore and the casuals. this is the game nintendo invisioned and i am surprised they didnt already do something like this. Hardcores will recreate their all time most favorite levels and casuals will have fun experimenting with this new innovative idea, and both will have fun seeing what other people come up with. The reason its a system seller is because its a new idea that appeals to both casual and hardcore.
i can see where your coming from in terms of cross-platform games. But recent titles like cod4 and on tend to be identical. I totally disagree with you when comparing exlusive titles in terms of graphics. Gears of war (1 or 2) is no where near as great as ps3's exlusives graphically. That game is miles behind Uncharted, mgs4, and even R&CF:ToD. The character models in mgs4 and Uncharted in particular totally raise the bar. i think the ps3 will outsell the xbox 360 this generation because sony has so many exlusives coming. Since alot of those are franchises, ps2 owners will be forced to upgrade. I also think that maybe microsoft isnt feeling alot of pressure from sony by saying the xbox 360 WILL outsell the ps3 this generation at E3. I mean they have to be pretty confident to say that right?
