the home beta(launching 1 month after the NXE) will deliver in all those aspects you listed for the NXE except for netflix (homes MANY other feastures will ake up for it)
imo, part of the reason ps3 is losing to 360 is sony's horrible marketing. seriously the 40gb ps3 was priced at 400$ and the pro 360 at 350$. sony in no way told their consumers that for another 50$, you get a blu-ray player, wi-fi, and free online. its a good thing that they updated their hdd space once ms announced the 60gb pro though. that was a smart move.
MS always makes bold claims like these. It just means that they are a confident company and you should respect them for that. The only one i personally find going too far is at E3 where they said the xbox 360 will outsell the ps3 this generation. They are right though, the xbox 360 sells the most third party and nintendo sells the most first party, just accept it people (this gen)...
its true i didnt any ps3s in best buy or target (my target ALWAYS have some) but the xbox WILL outsell it here for the price cut and has also been selling in Japan too (Tales). October and November will show us what consumers really want though...
it was the wii for me, lair was dissapointing to me too though. It was personally because i thought factor 5 was a very talented developer, and they nailed the visuals... halo 3 multiplayer is awesome, but it dosent seem like the same bungie that gave me halo CE did the single player in halo 3. GTA was good, not amazing and was over-hyped. mgs4 and smg delivered in every way possible though.
oh, that means i missed july's numbers, but whatever...
agreed, there is no point for anyone to buy a ps3 now since you'll be getting double the hdd space next month for free. That will keep ps3s going in sep., LBP might move consoles in oct., R2 might in nov., then comes the holidays...

anyone who only has an xbox 360 shouldnt care for this at all imo. its exclusives that will show us if blu-ray was the right way to go or not. i dont think coincidents like these will happen alot, they will only happen for big rpgs.
its way too early for a winner. The ps3 has only been out for a year and 9 months. Give this thing another 2 years...
as for the wii.... i have no idea what nintendo is doing. you see games like metroid then at e3 they show wii music (if you havent heard of this, the appropriate title is Waggle: The Game)its a toy not a game... but they dont care and are probably swimming in money now...
what your saying makes sense to some extent. But you also have to consider that xbox 360 wont be in the market as long as the ps3. Will they "switch back" once the new 360 is released? Also, alot of the xbox 360 games can also be found on the ps3 in addition to the fact that sony owns an amazing amount of studios (over 30!) with most of them working on ps3 games (ALOT of the amazing ps2 exlusives came from here).

the fact that sony wants a ten year life cycle for the ps3 meant that they had no choice but to add bluray. I think we can all agree that bluray will become standard well before 9 years from now.This also completes the all in 1 media center sony invisioned.

i was a bit ticked off at first because they said it was only possible on ps3, but now, who cares. It's exlusive in Japan-which means ps3s will sell like they would have if it was exlusive. That and the ps3 version will probably be better since its the lead platform. The fact that even if ms spent money imo i think they lost b/c its exlusive in japan.
agreed. if every time i turn on my console and it has a 16 percent chance of failing, then that means i can be angry. But so far, not that big of a deal for me. It probably will be though when my warranty expires this november.

what happened to naughty dog? And what about team ico? imo team ico is the best developer in the world only second to nintendo. their games take 4 years and they released SotC in 2005. so when am i going to see the best ps3 exlusive? i guess hv will suffice though
