They need to go back to the basics. The bare bottom basics of what made the previous games great. Its not that hard to do and i'm completely lost as to why Square has not gone back to the basics, i really am.
Everyone is crying out for a Final Fantasy 7 remake, yet Square won't budge.
If they were not sure on a 7 remake, an HD port to the new consoles could test the waters yet nothing.
Final Fantasy is not what it used to be.

This can work for Sony. They have stated they are going to position the PS3 as a family focused console by the end of the year. That puts the PS3 or PSThree in the lower end of the market leaving room for a high end model, the PS4.
A lot of people under estimate Sony. They will deliver, this gen and next.
I love Sony, I really do. Its mostly because i owned a PS1 and PS2 so i grew to love the games.
Sony need to go back to its roots. They need great first party titles and streamline the PS business

An amazing online system.
A cheap affordable launch price (PS4)
Great first party titles
Advertise, advertise, advertise.
I hope Sony does well. I had 2 PS3's and 3 Xbox 360's and this gen has been awesome but I feel Sony have sold themselves short this gen. The PS3 suffered an identity crysis in the beginning and I hope Sony sorts this out next gen. They can take a leaf out of Microsofts hat and pump more money into advertising and marketing. Its the same Call of Duty. Just a different setting. What is exciting about that. I'd rather see what Warfighter has instore for us. Hoping something new or atleast different.

What I find so damn funny regarding microsoft is that they are immune to criticism. One can hardly fault Sony or accuse them on lack of new original gaming experiences which is ultimately what drives this industry. Keyword here being 'gaming'. So many good games coming. Max Payne 3, Last of Us, Halo 4, Assassins Creed 3, Borderlands 2, GTA5, Sleeping Dogs... Another stellar year for gamers. Halo 4 is going to explode no doubt and im not even a fan but looking forward to how far 343 can push that black box.

I imagine bigger setpieces and a bigger sense of scale of the battle. Though a global war in locations like London, Paris and even the great pyramids of Giza for the final battle that leaves the ancient wonders of egypt in total ruin would be awesome. Kinda like that transformers scene but on steroids filled with the world armies against the biggest and baddest aliens.
Probably been said so many times before but the agree/disagree system on here is a joke. I dont know why websites have these systems in place. There used to be great debates on sites a few years back. Nowadays u get disagrees for statting facts and promptly get ur account suspended while the trolls and trouble makers hang around getting bubbled up. No please, no CELL. It may be good but when 3rd party devs struggle to get games upto Uncharted 3 level then it has to be dropped. Intel or AMD with a GTX 580M equivelant. Unless gamers are happy to once again get shoddy ports of multiplats like we have been getting this gen.
Its Bethesda. Release buggy incomplete game (get praised for it by media), then patch patch and patch away.

If anyone wants a HUGE leap in power its best to hope Sony and MS release in 2014/2015. Vita + PS3 is good enough to see off WiiU with PS Move extending the shelf life of PS3. The same with 360 and Kinect. Next gen in 2015 please with 580GTX equivilent please
The design of the PS3 has got sweet nothing to do with how Bethesda handled this game on the PS3. You can either make a game on a platform or you can't. Bethesda had to assess the machine to see if it was capable. There is no "Oh well yeah lets make a game for XXX console" without sitting down with a panel of employees in assessing the viability of said platform.
