I preferred 360 this gen however I have stopped my live account due to financial reasons. I think Sony is a serious threat to ms next gen. The controller on ps3 was the issue for me but the new controller looks great I can tell it is gonna feel better to me and if online gaming and netflix is still free I will skip Xbox next gen and just keep the 360 offline for my kid and put ps4 in my man room. my first xbox didn't come with wireless built in. I think the MS business model revolves around add-ons and you can bet they will not build it into the box, maybe bundles. Not everyone will want kinect so this would force too many people to pay more than they need to to jump in on the next gen. I have 2 xbox360's and one kinect for the record. Just my 2 cents
Sorry but phone and tablet games don't cut it for me. Vita's control layout is reason enough if your into games for real and not just trying to waste time in the stock room at work. I can not afford a Vita cause I am broke ass but If someone wanted to buy me something in that price range I would take a vita over a kindle any day.

My experience. I installed an update and it "bricked my console". In actuality what happened is I had a messed up hard drive most likely from dropping my ps3 unpacking it after a move. The update tried to write to this part of the drive and from then on my console would not boot up or would load the background only no icons after system restore I could sometimes get 5 or 10 minutes out of it before it would just shut down. I read an article on a financial website which stated that ps3 losses erased every dollar made from ps2. Of course this has nothing to do with the quality of the ps3 in fact it is proof of the beast of a machine it is since they had no choice but to charge a high price for cutting edge tech which cost them market share. i totally agree. I can't see using this at all. I have kinect but this seems like a novelty feature at best. I would rather do party chat and play a game than sit around looking at and talking to cartoons of my friends.
those are my two picks also. I am surprised and stoked that we are getting 2 games for waiting out this event. No way in hell MS would have offered up full games. We got one arcade game when live went down over Christmas a while back and we pay for live.
