i agree. As a designer/architect I have to say the the xboxone is a more premium looking machine. PS4 looks like a stripped down slim model of a PS4 that never existed. The materials look cheap but the physical design is ok and the light bar is very nice. I wish they had put a little more effort into the materials/finish. Having said all that I will still buy one after xmas since at the end of the day you don't play the physical appearance of the box.
Out of 183 0ne star reviews there are exactly 28 Verified buyers. I am calling BS on that. Some of the reviews are blatantly sony trolls. Who buys a console and calls it a "bone 720p" in their review. These dipshits need to get a life.

hmmm. Well that is not a good score haha. What we need to keep in mind is that although the game sucks a big sweaty ball it does still show what the xbo can do graphically. The game sucks because of the developer not the machine. Same goes for the odd low scoring ps4 titles. No one can deny they look great regardless of game play. hang on a minute. Isn't PS4 only launching with one 1st party shooter? All others are releasing on xbo as well. Sony isn't responsible for 3rd party releases. Ps3 launched with Resistance so nothing different between this gen and last.
Relax man the article doesn't say sony lost prestige. It says sony can "retain" its prestige meaning it had and continues to have it.
what i find concerning is that all the failures are the same or at least a large majority of them. This to me seems like a problem that could plague the console until they figure out what is causing it and replacing that particular piece of hardware wether it be the hdmi port or something else. I agree. That was completely emotionless. People in the middle of a flight for their lives and they looked bored? The voice over was terrible and robotic. Seriously that did nothing for me. Nothing against the games but Sony ads are terrible. They need to get better marketing consultants for sure. Good thing the games speak for themselves.

people said the same thing about ps3. Where are the games? etc. In the end Ps3 provided more high quality games over its life span than the 360 especially the last 2 years which for me as a 360 owner was completely f**king depressing. You can not microwave a fillet mignon. You want quality you gotta be patient. I am now completely decided on ps4 this gen, to hell with my live friends list, half of em will be on psn anyway.
this will make web browsing on a console way more usable. the thumbstick cursor control is frustrating. hopefully they use it for that.

my thoughts exactly and I am an xb fan. This is torture for me as I am not rich. Having a hard time deciding between consoles. I am kind of a graphics whore so while i like what i am initially seeing from xb1 I know full well that PS4 will show more visually impressive titles than xb a couple years into the life cycle. Deer in the headlights right here.
my old fat ps3 died just before the game launched. I would rather wait and get a ps4. if the game launched on ps4 I would get it right away.

aiming for parity across platforms is bad for gaming. Its a race to the bottom with companies potentially even conspiring to release "equal adequate" hardware rather than pushing boundaries. Even this upcoming gen has failed to wow me the way the last gen did. I am particularly disappointed in MS. I really only gamed on my 360, not a fanboy it was just preference.
