I reckon it's the best out there. It was a bit hit and miss what it would play at the start but the current version is really great. So much so that I am actually considering purchasing the pro version.

There are (were) two PS3's in my house. I have more Sony gear at home than most of the idiots posting here and that are constantly referring to the 360 and the RROD.

My PS3 was vacuumed regularly. My wife is a compulsive cleaner so there was never much dust about my PS3. Due to the amount of wires around the back of my LCD TV she always hassled me to clean that area. So I can vouch that the PS3 was kept clean. I can't vouch for what the interior of it would look like (I'll ask the repair man).

Back to console talk, I'm sure if I had bought a 360 I would be on my 5th or 6th by now but I bought a PS3 because I still have a launch model PS2 that my son uses. That's 9 years now and still going. 26 months is just not good enough for a console life span, whoever made it. Sony SHOULD have offered me a replacement free of cost. I do not believe that they are unaware of this problem.
I describe what happened with my PS3 and Sony this week. Luckily for me I had just bought my son his own 80 gig PS3 this week (no Backward compatibility or card readers, dang it) for his birthday. So I am not without a PS3 though I might not give it to him now. It all depends on how the repair goes.

I have bought most of the FF titles since FF7 but I will be very slow to purchase FFXIII until I'm absolutely sure it's not just another piece of software brought down to the lowest common denominator (360 hardware) to work on two machines. I still feel that PS3 owners will end up with a raw deal due to the limits of 360's DVD. How much content has been dropped to accommodate the 360 for this game?

But I think that Bioshock has more potential than any other game out there to be made into a successful movie. The story line is already developed and is a masterpiece as it is.
Gears of war..........I don't know. If it has a strong director and story writer it could work. It still wouldn't be in the same league as Bioshock.
and boy can it be loud! You just have to have the volume up just so it doesn't get to you. At first I thought it was badly balanced disks not just a quick spinning drive.

My son still plays my PS2 and I've two drives loaded with games.
Apart from the last two COD's, Fallout 3 and Bioshock.
I tend to buy all the PS3 exclusives that are released though. If a developer wont attempt to use the PS3 to its full potential I'm not going to fund his lazy ass!
I reckon that the price cut would have a major effect in most countries except the above. There is definitely a nationalistic element to the US sales. The Brits just follow the US lead.
You should try Tversity it's much better than Windows media server and you don't have to choose one over the other they will both work simultaneously. Try it out. You can always uninstall it if you really dislike it but I'd be surprised if you did.
