It astonishes me how many studios have had to close this generation due to high costs of production. You have to feel for developers who can't get a job right now because of so many cut-backs. I think video games went HD alittle prematurely, then again who could have predicted such a bad economy.
I wouldn't doubt it to sell over that much. Actually a very fun game, but I have a feeling New Super Mario Bros. will blow it out of the water this holiday.

People forget that a whole lot of R&D went into making the Wii remote. A lot more than people think actually. I have a feeling if Wii 2 ever comes along, the R&D will be mostly in the interface and ease of use rather than the GPU or CPU.

Man it is true that Nintendo software line up this year has been a drab affair. Last year was way better software wise, Wii Fit, Mario Kart, Brawl, Animal Crossing. This year it has been Punch-Out!! and Wii Sports Resort.
New Super Mario Bros will be huge, but it is odd Nintendo didn't have anything for the spring time released.

Who said GTA didn't sell well? Profit is more important, and GTA was incredibly profitable on the DS.
Rpckstar has commented that the game actually will have a "long and successful shelf life" and not to be compared to GTA4 in sales.

No, the atmosphere was there and Extraction felt like a Dead Space game, just not being able to control your character is a gimped and dumbed down game mechanic.
The thing about the original DS was that you didn't want to go through that door because you were scared to see what was on the other side. This game just throws you in and you never really have time to feel that desperation you feel when exploring the Ishimura.
Sad to because when it was first announced, everyone wanted it. When it was announced to be a rail shooter, no one cared anymore. EA wake up!

One problem I have heard though from others is the framerate sometimes is not as high when running pc games through bootcamp or alternatives.
It is funny though how people who don't own a Mac or Apple computer think they are so gimped. Way more to Macs then most people think.
Most don't know you can run Windows 7 on it.
