The Vita is priced fine, the memory cards are the only real problem. The Vita just like the Wii U will both eventually get a price drop.
If anything the Wii U is priced horribly for what the hardware offers. The PS Vita is extremeley reasonable for everything it offers hardware wise, memory cards are the only expensive piece that needs to come with them.

I can't even understand why so many are so excited over this news.. To me it is kind of a slap in the face, so after years of not getting MH on PS3, they give PS3 users this really crappy MH that people barely played in the first place that was already released on 360 in 2010 and on PC in 2007.

This game is old as hell that is why. It is from 2007, it was first released on PC and was later put on Xbox 360 in 2010. Did poorly on both systems, it was only popular for a short while.
