Believe it or not the Vita is more powerful than a lot of these phones and even tablets still. More powerful than that $700 dollar iPhone 5 also.
You aren't finding phones and tablets with dedicated gaming memory in them. Most phones and tablets sure might have GPU's in them but if it has no memory for games, you won't be getting anywhere near the fidelity and game play of PS Vita games. VRAM is just for that, higher resolutions, allowin...
Oh lord people talking about what they can't even understand. There is nothing special about this and I will tell you why.
Sure it is great and higher than most games but in reality it isn't that much higher than what has already been achieved. For one it is never stated what this is used in, during actual game play or cut scenes. Based on all the Ryse images available you notice every game play image looks nothing like the very detailed ones, those are probably cut s...
You can play PS4 games on your PS Vita. How is that stomping? Seems more like loving each other and hugging.
Maybe if you said PS4 games will stomp PS Vita games graphically that would have made more sense but still that is practically common sense knowing that.
@mysteryraz11
Not yet it isn't. It is close but the Vita was released in Japan on December 17th 2011. It still isn't December 17th this year so it can't be two years old. When it is that date this year, it will be two years since its first release.
Wasn't released in other parts of the world until February and March of 2012. Which still isn't that far off from two years but it won't be until next year during those months it hits the tw...
I would say the PS Vita. People say the speakers sound like shit but they also don't realize each game has different sound production for its sound effects and music. The frequencies could be ranging which makes a huge difference in sound. Could be recorded in 44.1khz, 48khz, 96khz, 192khz. Also could have been recorded in a different bitrate 16bit, 24bit so on.
While I do agree some games sound like crap, games like Soul Sacrifice and Dragons Crown sound absently great...
Sony may.... I have been saying this since January and no one ever listened then. Now its news..

I really beg to differ. Both are capable enough now.
These systems have good GPU's and more than effecient enough CPU's and the PS4's 8GB GDDR5 memory is made for gaming.
I know for fact it will match close to PC, I never said it would surpass them, nothing can surpass a PC because PC components are being updated monthly almost. Consoles go through cycles.
Of course it isn't going to out perform some PC with 8GB SLI cards or c...
I have.
I can name one next generation game that will be on consoles that looks better than all of those. I could name a bunch more on console but one is enough to prove my point.
The Witcher 3.

Agreed people need to move their hype meters down a notch. Although yes the name sounds cool, Destiny of Spirits also sounded like it could have been something really epic.
It actually looks pretty cool the more I have looked at it, I guess if you like very old traditional RPG's you won't mind Destiny of Spirits but I know those type of games right now don't have mass appeal.
Point being is the one you made, people don't want to disappoint the...
Lol same. I am scared I am gonna break my square button on my PS Vita..
You know it is amazing. These consoles don't have much in terms of ram. Now we have way more than any console developer ever dreamed of using with these new systems. Just goes to show if they squeeze this much out of old systems we are in for a treat.
I really can't wait to see these next generation games later on down the line. A sight to behold I am sure, some console games now are still amazing me.
Shenmue, Rival Schools, Power Stone, Jet Set Radio, Sonic Adventure and Seaman. I would love to see any of those make a big return.
Only if I was a billionaire, I would fund all these myself.
Well said, bubble for you.
I wasn't really agreeing with DayZ by the way. I just didn't understand why you responded with the PS3 part of your comment.
Everything you said was fine, I just thought the PS3 part being added was just random and really had nothing to do with what DayZ said or the point you were trying to get across.
So I just felt like saying that sarcastically. Cause the context seemed as if you said it like it was a horrible thing, a lot of systems had bad st...
Meanwhile the PS3 has become the number one selling console worldwide. Durp.
That doesn't even make any sense. All gaming came from a computer literally, all of it. Nintendo is no different than Sony or Microsoft from what you are saying. Somehow you are you trying to categorize them as an industry standard in gaming when it just doesn't add up, this is why.
Video games have been around way before Nintendo since the 1940's, I am not going to say the company has never done anything good but that is what I don't get about many Nintendo f...
Nice kind of glad I held out on 3. Was gonna get it on Vita but I heard it doesn't have any multiplayer. I really hope this one does.
I don't see how anyone who actually owns a Vita finds the hardware expensive. For $250 and being portable it does a helluva lot.
The memory cards are the only issue really. No doubt as all hardware drops in price eventually people will get that price cut they want but in all seriousness there have been tons of chances to pick up a PS Vita for cheaper. So that kind of really annoys me people begging for a price drop when there has been a lot and I mean a lot of sales on th...
Well I didn't expect things you could personally fly but I did expect things you could hack like that. I mean that would be very cool, hacking an airplane and guiding it into a enemy base or something.
A little over the top yes but it sounds cool.
Yea I hope the PS4 UI is somewhat similar. Using the PS Vita is a breeze, they really thought the UI out well, it may not necessarily look like people want it to with the bubbles being called childish but I couldn't care at all as long as it works well and fluently which it does 10x over.
I actually really love the PS Vita's UI so much I would love to use it on phones also, everything is so simple and quick to understand. Makes navigating it so easy.
