Am I right in understanding that GT7 is releasing in 2014? How can that possibly be? They've just about finished with GT6...how can they transition to the next console and redo absolutely everything from the ground up in a year? Wouldn't that hurt the sales of GT6 too?

Well looking back at Forza 4 I think I purchased around 300 cars and I got to the stage where I felt I 'perfected' about 10 cars and have stuck with those 10 ever since and it also happened with Forza 3 and 2 so I'm not overly fussed but I can understand the disappointment of others. I don't know about others but I find a lot of people recycle through the same 5 or less cars...

I'm a massive Forza fan but I have literally zero interest in the F1 cars and have never watched F1 races. It just doesn't grab my attention but for others whom are crazy for F1, this will be a grind fest...then again you don't buy Forza to play for a few hours and never again. Forza is an investment, you have to put a lot of hours into it.

If you expect so much Statix, save that $400-500 and put it towards a PC and you will never be disappointed. Unfortunately the leap isn't as great as you expected. Time to bring the hype down.
I read that PD stated it takes 6 months to complete a car and Turn 10 seem to be also quoting the same length. If this is truly the case it isn't such a big surprise to me! After all Forza 5 is appearing on next-gen hardware, so Turn 10 have had to remodel every single car they could in that time frame, while PD can recycle the same cars from GT5 to GT6.
