US figures... Pokemon isn't in the top 10.
By the way, we are talking sales figures. Not your opinion on whether a certain franchise is trash or not.
"most beloved consoles ever"
Don't think so mate... If they were, people would have bought them in droves. Stop glossing over historical facts with your own biased prejudices.
You do realise I said AAA games, right?
Seems kind of counter-productive if many, many TRIPLE A games have already been announced for PS and MS, but not for Nintendo. Talk about deflating Switch mind-share for anyone who is on board for wanting to pick up the likes of Prey, RDR2 etc.
Purleeeze... Sony and MS both ended Nintendo's reign. All the AAA games publishers jumped ship, and Nintendo themselves exited the dedicated home console market.
74,217 in comparison to 48,694 is a really good sales figure. But even Wii U sales spiked when the console received a certain hot Nintendo property.
Let's talk sales figures again when the Switch's honeymoon period is over, and when all the AAA publishers start releasing their games around Xmas. Because I'm pretty sure the likes of Assassins Creed, FIFA, and COD (which won't be having their best versions on Switch) are going to absolutely annihilate anythin...
The Gamecube launch was deemed a success. And so was the Dreamcast. Look how those two consoles fared after their honeymoon period...
If the Switch is really that much of a "success", then why are so many publishers actively avoiding the prospect of porting their AAA properties on to the platform?
Prey and Rime for me.
Nintendo is like the dumbest mofo since the death of Yamauchi... Man, you knew he was the original mother-brain that actually got $hit done and commanded a whole heap of respect in the process.
Nintendo right now, with all their dumb fans, are nothing but a sad joke and a blot on the industry.
These fcuking hacks don't know shit about business... Yeah, kill your own products' momentum when there is no evidence of their sales stalling for at least another 2 years. PS4 Pro still hasn't even gained proper traction yet.
Fcuking lame ass "journalists"... No wonder the profession is up the shit creek in terms of reputation.
Nintendo haven't been invited to the party for over a decade. Its harem of women left it for a more ripped alpha that treats them infinitely better. Nintendo now has to contend with internet porn in order to satisfy itself... Sad when you realise that it once had more going for it than even King Solomon had with his own 1000 wives back in the day.
Press X to pay respects...
I see it's not coming out for the Switch... Like so many other announced games.
Also, is it just me or did it look like a mix between Nier and Dark Souls?
I really want to get the original Yomawari game on Vita, but alas, it's still too expensive.
I'm a Sony and a MS fan, and wouldn't buy a handheld by them as I don't game on the go...
Would rather read a book in that time to be honest.
How about... (Drum Roll Please...) Nintendo should copy Sony and MS and make a decent console for a (ten year) change.
The Switch owner's thirst is real...
Yeah, but fans will say that it's because you can't buy it in the shops. The real reason is that past their 10-odd million fans, no-one wants it.
Just goes to show as to why Nintendo and their fans are considered the absolute jokes of the industry.
No... Just... No!
I know that fans of Nintendo are still salty over MS absolutely pulverising the Gamecube with their first take, but XBox One (even in this generation) sold more in less time, and has an infinitely healthier eco-system to boot.
Yeah... Zelda. A game that clearly shows how pathetic the Switch's hardware is. But even with that being said, what else does Nintendo have up its sleeve that is of the same lofty calibre? Not much... Not much ...
I have Gravity Rush 1 on Vita and PS4. Gravity Rush 2 would have been sent out to die on the Vita - not to mention that it looks so beautiful on the PS4 with all the incidental details that come from having an incredibly detailed world map.
Zelda is a classic example of what happens when a game is forced to run on archaic hardware, what with its barren landscapes as well as sub-30fps. Gravity Rush 2 would have suffered from the same fate if it were to come on out Vita, and ...
@C_Ali88
I used Top 10 according to 2016. But you used VGChartz...
http://www.vgchartz.com/yea...
In that chart, Pokemon is number 1 (as a franchise title) and got 12million - on a format that has over 60 million users. But if we are talking about franchise title sales (across all platforms), and according to VGChartz, FIFA 17 on PS4 and XB1 (without taking into accoun...
