You can't just boil down things to "microsoft hate", because i'm sure many people are using their windows pc's without yelling at them just because the os is a microsoft product lol.
Couldn't it just be that most gamers just don't like xbox 1 because of how ms handles the business surrounding it?
People are turned off by the shift towards cloud gaming and ms taking years to release low quality games.

Well, based on comments they very well could go 3rd party for the other consoles while also keeping their xbox consoles.

So by releasing games on other platforms than windows 10 and xbox, they technically become 3rd party.
You have to be more specific. Xbox as a console "could" be dying, but could live on as a service for many devices. But even then ms could still produce a dedicated xbox console as a fanservice.
It may not be dead but xbox lacks any incentive to buy one.

Who knows. But one thing is sure. Playstation consoles exceed wii numbers on the regular while the competion have to have a lucky gen to pull that off.
As if ms has a leading role in the console space lol. They are more like headless chicken running around trying to figure out how to become relevant again on that specific market.

Yeah it's like you have a ps4 as super sexy wife which you do on a daily basis. You find her awesome and attracting and truly adore her but once or twice a year the chick you know since childhood (switch), comes to town. She might not look as good as your wife, but she does things you wife wouldn't do so or can't do the same. To be fair nintendo games don't have to compete vs third party games.
I simply just don't get the fascination surrounding battle royal, but after years and years of basically deathmatch, team deathmatch, domination/ conquest and capture the flag(in different variations ofcourse), BR brings something new to the table that millions of gamers enjoy.
Looks amazing. Unfortunately i can't take use of the editor myself because i lack the creativity but i will rely on the awesome community .
Sony only should do this if THEY want to and not listen to shill journalists and fanboys from the competition who want to find a weak spot on sony which they can attack.
It's ok to not give the competition access to your large userbase. Sony has nothing to gain from this and much to lose.
I understand that sony wants gamers, who want to play together with their community, to buy a playstation console instead of a niche console from one of its competitors...
