My guess is that they keep using 512 because it's usually easier/cheaper to improve current technology than it is to create new technology.

I decided to troubleshoot a bit today. I decided to disconnect from the PSN before booting up GTA. Didn't freeze on me once.
When I was done with my gaming session I decided to give multiplayer a try. I connected to PSN just fine, however the very moment that I connect to the GTA servers my PS3 froze.
I remember having a similar issue when Warhawk came out.
I am wondering if it's just too much on the servers, and the connection is timing out.

This is good, and bad news.... to an extent.
Good because PS2'ers are moving to a higher end console.
Bad because of all of the freezing issues that are coming with it.
Hopefully it won't leave a bad taste in their mouths.

R* is a business. The whole point of a business is to make profit. They make a product the way they want it to be made.
It is the consumer/parents that decide to buy it. It's not forced.
People need to take responsibility for their own actions, and stop pushing the responsibility off on others.
If the AI is this intellegent I may have to keep a closer eye on this game.

I have read two other reviews that say something like 5 minutes. How did they come up with twice the time it takes? Are they guessing or are the 2 other sites claiming less time?
Who has the game, and how long does the install take? I should get mine today or tomorrow so I can't test it myself.

That's actaully a really good question.
If Japan gets GT5 a month before us or something, it would give them the head start rendering timestamps useless for competitive reasons at least.
