Although it seems that this will be a 360 game, from what he is saying. There has not been a console confirmed yet. So it could go to PS3, PC, 360, or ... Wii... well maybe not the Wii.
So who knows.
I say put up or shut up. Give us a "true" next gen game, and leave names like Halo, and Bioshock out of it, because right now it's just BS as far as I am concerned.
"Halo speaks for itself".. OK. Through sales? Yes it sold well but it is NOT innovative.
I don't care that you didn't like the game (ICO, SoTC), but don't bash it based on sales.
If everyone thought the same way you did, Halo would have never been released.
We would all be playing the 20,000th version of Pong.
It's not sales that Team ICO is after as much as you may not believe that. It's getting their vision to others. ...
Could not agree more. I like that the HD-DVD drive has that functionatlity.
My only issue is I don't want to buy a library of media on a platform that may die off. So I am waiting on the format war to be over with.
My PS3 seems to play games just fine. I guess adding another computer to my home network certainly helps find value in the $450 I paid for it.
Besides.. last time I checked I could play movies on my 360 as well. I can't use it as a PC if I wanted to though. It sucks but oh well.
So basically what I am getting at is the 360 can play games, and movies. Awesome! The PS3 can play games, and movies.... oh and you can use it as a computer IF YOU WANT TO.
...
You seem as though you have played both of these games yourself.
Can you tell us what you like/disliked about them?
Then tell me how a game as everyday as Halo(1,2, and 3) is so much better?
Halo is a good game, and I have played through all 3, but there is nothing artistic, or original about any of them.
Lets think of another game that involves aliens trying to destroy humanity... not very original.
This is what Team ...
I get a feeling this will be integrated with Home somehow.
I know nothing about this game, but it has me interested in any little bit of news that comes out for it.
I finally got around to trading in my PS2, with 2 controllers, and my memory card.
It sucks that I only got $30 for everything but for those that have not bought a PS3 yet, it's almost not worth it to get rid of your PS2.
Just a thought.
I don't always agree with you, but I do here.
Of anything that I would be OK losing on my PS3 BC is not it. I actually have been playing quite a few PS1, and PS2 games recently.
Oh well. I have a 60GB PS3 so I am not effected, but this seems more like a "cheaper" unit than an actual price drop.
I don't think this was a fantastic move, considering the sheer amount of PS2 install base.
<shrug>
So I guess the Blue tab at the top of the page (put there by the site developer) that has the words 'Tech' on them is for.... what now?
Oh that's right... TECHNOLOGY.
N4G obviously supports Technology news, or they would not have put that tab at the top of the Home page.
Seems logical to have BR, and HD-DVD discussion in the Technology category.
Ahhhhhhhh
Now go buy one to make up for the $600 mistake. Then you can stop crying about it, and move on with your life.
Sell your PS3 on ebay or Craigslist. You can probably make up at least 2/3rd's of your $600 mistake.
Really stop you crying, and do something about it. You sound like nothing more than a spoiled cry baby.
Is supposed to be out on the 11th.... the demo that is.
I am actually surprised by this.
I would of thought that it would have needed a different optical unit. Seems that Bluray has a few more tricks up it's sleeve that even I knew about.
Interesting. I wonder if this will carry over to Bluray burners as well. Moving from a single layer burner to 4 layer burner via a firmware upgrade would be fantastic.
Im really confused as to what is bringing this whole thing on.
Bungie, and MS are obviously sucessful with each other. I can't see where any of this may be going.
It may have something to do with "Big Bang", but I really don't think any of this really involves Sony.
The next week is going to be interesting I think.
What does MS have to do with this?
I enjoy Kareoke(sorry spell check didn't know it either) from time to time.
That is only when I am at a bar drinking though.
Do you feel this could rival the "group" fun of a Guitar Hero? I have never really played a game like this, but always hear how much fun they are.
But isn't this what business is all about?
Trying to out sell the other?
I have had no issues with my 360 (thankfully). But I can say that; although I can get it fixed for free, it is the simple fact that so many have had to get it fixed.
It's a pain to call up support, and arrange to have it sent out. Then you are completely without a system for x- amount of time.
I think it's more so the inconvenience of it all that the actual problem.
It's just easier to blame video games.
I mean we all know there has never once been a movie, or TV show that would attribute to this.
Hell a News paper for that matter. I read about extremely violent crimes in the news EVERYDAY.
None of those media outlets would have anything to do with it.
I have played video games since I was a child, and never once had a thought of strangling my sister.
Want to know why? ....
It's new to me.
Links to this "old news"? I want to see what I missed. I don't like being surprised.
Capcom has bought Sony, and Microsoft.
They are releasing a new device called the XStation Wiicast 825.... :)
Either way I will be happy just as long as it's not another crappy Mega Man title.
Maybe something with Street Fighter?
