The PSP is going for a totally different market, they shouldn't really be compared anymore in sales.
Just like the Wii, PS3 and 360 - the PS3 and 360 shouldn't be put up to the Wii because they're not in the same market.

Sony have been trying to get them interested in this stuff for years with the older consoles and some of the shooters did gather quite a large userbase at one point - but it kind of dropped off once the PS3 and 360 came - i guess microsoft AND sony are trying to do it again since sony have recently brought out killzone 2 over there.
I think this is a good move. It would be great to see them in the MGS4 engine, however - classics should remain classics. If you're going to remake a game, then go the route of super street fighter 2 HD turbo remix.

Right from when he started talking about consoles sums up how i feel too, apart from the fact i don't own a wii anymore.
All the points he made (mostly) apply to me too, it isn't some fanboy rubbish - it is just a preference. I don't want other systems to fail, because i paid money for them too, i want them to keep getting supported so i get my moneys worth out of them.
Well, for me - personally E3 08 was sony's just because more interested/excited me in sonys side.

Multiplatform stuff..
Gears of war 2 and fable 2 (GoW2 which really isn't a 2008 game, more a 2009 game for me - simply because the multiplayer is at a level where i feel is acceptable now) fable 2 was great though.

You can start talking rubbish when the PS3 is £200. Hardly a huge accomplishment, you know - only outselling it 27k when the entry level on that system is half the price of the entry level of the PS3.

The aiming system is fine, found it pretty similar to gears - just needs a tiny bit of tweaking - it was nothing gamebreaking though.
The bullet sponge Ai needs changing, but thankfully - they said they will be changing that for Uncharted 2 already for something much more realisitic.
They were the only problems i had with the game, even with those though - i loved the game. Graphics, animation, story, voice...

The cover system would of killed multiplayer. Leon, which beta? - because the one i was in never had it and the official playstation beta testers never said the cover system was online in their builds either.

Those sticks are in horrible posistions, if they are going to include dual sticks in the next PSP - then they really need to change the shape of the actual PSP to make it easier to hold.
I'm sure the PS3 would of had a good few extra sales if it stayed exclusive, but nothing huge. After all, it is still exclusive in japan.
The god of war games are amazing, it is easily one of the best game series and probably (at least for me) the best in its genre.
They have the story telling just right, they have the gameplay just right, everything just fits so well together.

The quality will go up, its like littlebigplanet. First few months it was filled with nothing but rubbish, now you go on and you find more and more amazing levels.
