Agree 100%.
While i don't actually care, it has been known for a while now that the PS3 has, worldwide sold more in a shorter time frame than the xbox.
Saying the game is bad is probably a bit harsh.. but like i said, i'm still mad at myself for running out to buy this game.
Its fun to just run around and smash things.. for about 10 minutes and there has been only one mission i have enjoyed so far.. which was just because it looked really good...
Had to chase one of those hunter things through the streets and since i have all my running and jumping powers to the max it looked pretty good.
I don't think UC2, Splinter cell conviction or Forza 3 will be in the top 10 for 2009.. not because i don't think they're good games.. far from it - i can't wait for them.. but because there are other games out there that for some reason have a larger appear and will sell more due to their name...
Top 20, probably - but i don't think they will be top 10 - which is a shame because those games probably deserve it.

Nah, i think Modern warfare 2 will sell more simply because it is multiplatform, ODST will be close behind it though.
5. inFamous (PS3) - Sony
Thats great for a game that was only out for 5 or 6 days in may.
Now, i have no doubt that Natal and microsoft can do some great things... just i would rather hear from someone else..
I love molyneux, but he overexaggerates everything - not saying he is here, but look at fable 2 (which i loved) he used to constantly bang on about how every little decision would effect the world, everything you do - your world will change.. when infact, even when i did the most radical actions - it didn't change much at all.

You americans get far better treatment, early home spaces? Have you been on the EU Home? Its nothing compared to the US and JP Home.
You have the Video download store which i would much rather have than Vidzone and you get all the games demos and store quicker.
I agree they should be cheaper, but at the moment - i'm not too fussed at paying the same price - much prefer download over UMD.
But i'm guessing this is part of the plan to get publishers and developers back on track with the PSP, sony is letting these publishers charge near or the same price as the retail games which makes the PSP look good again after all its bad piracy problems.
Yeah, i've always put me getting quick speeds on PSN on something like me being really close to the UK PSN servers..

My mouth was wide open while watching some of those live demo's.
Apparently it was the sarcasticgamer guys who kind of started off the cheering at every little thing, and as you know - when a group of people start cheering in a crowd, the rest join in :p

But thats the point, yes it only allows DD - but it is the same PSP as before, but the fact is doesn't have a UMD drive and has built in memory.
If people don't like digital distribution, then they will get a PSP 3000, if they're like me, and prefer it, especially over horrible UMD - they'll get a PSP Go.
cmrbe, thank god sony isn't going DD only yet... PSP 3000 says hi.
While sony wants a peice of that casual audience too, i'm really glad to know they know that the core audience is most important.

I couldn't of talked about a biggest of suprise award without mentioning Final fantasy 14 announcement..
come on, even on the live feed you heard the whole audience just go "What?"
I kind of expected the next metal gear to be multiplatform so that wasn't a big shocker, but Castlevania was a suprise.
Being a metal gear solid fan, i hope it does. Listening to the latest kojima productions report - they said they are creating a whole new engine for this game, making sure to optimise it as best as they can for both the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC - they said they are serious when they say that.
And knowing kojima productions - they have been working with a guy for years now that demands nothing but perfection and you can see that in MGS4, the most polished game evar!
I've got mine pre ordered at £180.. but i'm guessing the main thing putting people off is the price.
