I don’t doubt it’s better, it’s just as a ps5 owner already it’s not worth the faff and expense of selling up and buying a new.

Nope, this gen has been so wildly heavy with remakes, it’s made up far too high a percentage of Sonys first party offerings. With objectively is bad enough, it’s only compounded (particularly in the case of this story) by the fact they’re ready to push a £700 upgrade to a machine that is yet to be maxed out in any real way and that they’re about to release and sell a game that released 7 or so years ago, still looks great and that not a single soul is asking for.
Yeah they absolutely do, or rather we need them to have competition. Remember how much they owned the ps2 gen only to completely balls up the launch and the first 2/3rds of the ps3 gen. They are bad winners, and we the consumers become the losers when Sony do win
They never released a ps4 pro update. And last gen Xbox had a mid gen upgrade with the x. This gen it’s just Sony and I’ll be very very surprised if they sell anywhere nears as muc 5pros as they did 4pros, the market for the ps5 upgrades will be so small it’ll only ever be first party games and a hand full of others that ever utilise it.

The ps4 pro was only slightly more expensive then the ps4 (seemed like a steal and absolute no brainer at the time, especially for those picking up their first ps4 or had just bought into the blossoming 4k tv boom).

We’re only at the half way point of this generation, it’s way too early to call time on the psvr 2. This sales boost will most certainly help but who knows how much.
Sony haven’t been supporting it but 3rd party devs still are, there’s plenty on the horizon and plenty to be excited about. I’m confident I’ll still be enjoying playing new releases on the psvr 2 until the very end of this gen

You’ll certainly be able to play alyx on psvr2, it’ll just be through steam on your pc, we shouldn’t ever expect to see alyx on ps store it’s the biggest steam vr exclusive

I’m shocked by the negative reception here, I’m buzzing for this! Don’t get me wrong, could easily still turn out bad, but I think it looks awesome right now. Got a space fairing uncharted vibe I’m really liking. I think the main character is fine, I rarely care for the main character in any game so it’s really not something I’m bothered about.
