games dont need to have multiplayer. I sometimes prefer a game with no multi that way the developers really focus on the single player.

The fact of the matter is that anyone who uses IE can download a number of free alternatives. Forcing you to give the competitions software with your software doesnt seem right.

If theres one thing were all missing is that most of the grafix are coming from the GPU. Mabe you disagree but generally a GPU upgrade get you further than a cpu upgrade. One thing is for sure is if sony spent more money on the GPU and had a processer like the 360, the ps3 would have outperformed 360 in multiplatform games on day one(less money on cell, more on GPU which would use 1 year later tech than 360).
