make sure it's not one of those modded/banned XBOX's!
Oh I can't wait for this! Although a game that has such an awesome "autumn/winter" vibe about it being released when the days are getting longer and the sun is beginning to get stronger is a bit strange. Oh well - I'll have to get some really thick curtains for my game room (or play at night!)
How on earth can MS ban an XBOX if all you've done is add a separate cooler? How can they actually tell? Do they have a little camera built into the centre circle of the four rings, lol? I'm shocked and saddened for the genuine people who've not done anything illegal but still find themselves on the end of a banning.
"Forgive them for they know not what they do"
...and who be this pretty little lady?
I'm confused. Why would Gandalf refer to himself as Captain Jack Sparrow?
....I'm lolling all over the place :)
At least you sound like the kind of guy who'll give other games a fair crack of the whip (I hope!) - I was referring more to the kids who LIVE for FIFA and COD.
For example, ask your average teen gamer if he'll be buying The Last Guardian or Alan Wake, and he'll say "WTF? COD ALL D'WAY - PLUS FIFA RULZ MAN!"
The reason Bungie/Microsoft won't make an EPIC (and I mean absolutely breathtaking, awe-inspiring, "new-engined") Halo this gen is because they want to save HALO 4 for the launch of the next XBOX. If they release Halo 4 this gen, they will have "shot their load" early and nobody likes an early shooter.
I'm sure Bungie aren't fussed either way but those money-men at Microsoft need a top title to launch their new console in the next few years.
Anyone who has read previous comments of mine know how much I love PES (although I'm not solely a PES player). But the transition from last-gen to this generation has been shocking to say the least. I still hold hope that we will have a vintage PES this generation but the stubborn way Konami seem to be developing PES is really disheartening.
As for Mr. EA UK's comments, they're equally as disheartening. FIFA and Call of Duty - is that what the majority of gamers are waiting for a...
I understand the point you're making but you've inadvertently revealed the problem at the heart of the issue: Uncharted 2 is only the second in the series, as is Resistance, Killzone, etc.
Halo: Reach will be the FIFTH instalment in the series, unless I'm very much mistaken (Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo ODST, Halo: Reach). The 5th in a series that is still fundamentally the same as the first instalment nearly a decade ago. I think this is what people are rallying against. But if it...
I think Nintendo have realised that what they had/have with the Wii is a once in a lifetime occurence - a freak result, if you will. With rumblings from loyal Nintendonites(?) that the focus of Nintendo seems to be more and more on casual titles, and that throwing loyal fans a "bone" every year with a new Mario, Zelda, etc., isn't good enough, the company is realising that they have to at least entertain the idea of having multi-platform titles as the Gamecube did in the XBOX/PS2 da...
Yeah, I understand what you're saying totally about it not being worth the trouble for Valve. My point was more that how cool would it be IF Valve threw all caution to the wind and said, "Okay, we know the PS3 is a pain to develop for, but we're gonna do it anyway because the end result far outweighs the journey" etc,.
But sure, I can understand why they wouldn't. I was just pointing out that if Rocksteady et al, can pull it off then surely Valve could be able to.
misleading title that's just asking to be flamed by fanboys.
How did these analysts know that? I have the original Assassin's Creed on the XBOX360 and I intend buy the sequel for my PS3!
P.S. I love the word "console defection" - it sounds so CIA/MI5.
In hindsight those earlier comments by Gabe Newell ("Sony should scrap the PS3 and start over"), have reflected poorly on Valve and the talent it has working for the company. If they aren't able to attract enough skilled programmers who can make a multiplatform title LOOK and PLAY impressively on the PS3 as it does on the XBOX360, that's a deficiency on Valve's part.
Rocksteady managed it with Batman, Ubisoft did it with Assassin's Creed (and by all accounts they've do...
Chin up, mate. I know how you feel. I was barely past 25 when I went through a bitter, expensive divorce. Coupled with the fact I had an illness, things were really bad. Had I not had GTA4 at hand last year, the whole sorry episode would've been 10 times worse. There are some great titles released on the PC, especially now since Christmas is coming up even those cheaper PC titles might be discounted even more.
Lesson? Never get married early - or at all.
PLAYA!
it's all about those option files on the PS3, my friend.
I see what you're saying and the statistics DO back you up, but I buy PES every year (lately in hope more than anything else) and it's the only sports game I've ever bought in the last 6-7 years. My other purchases throughout the year are the top exclusives for the console I have, as well as any appealing multi-platform titles that I like the look of.
I'm baffled with people who only buy one game a year and that game is either FIFA or PES - they're missing out on so many other g...
wow!
