Jillzone, where you try to round up everyone in the country called Jill into a small field near Doncaster using the promise of cupcake decorating.
Ooh, nice.
Maybe Call of Duty: Modern Laserquest.
Yeah but people can log into DCUO consistently ;)
GTA is a good shout, could go one of two ways though. R* need to really nail it...
Agreed - while COD fans will lap it up I'm not sure it'll grab the imagination of the masses, and it's nothing hugely ground breaking or new. Well, that's what I assume. A bit hard to tell before it's even released..!
I guess that's the plus point about having so many reviews available online, not everyone's opinions will be the same so you'll get to see a range of views. I've seen reviews giving this 7/10, others giving it 10/10. It's just an opinion, there's no hard fact about precisely how good a game is or isn't.
73-1? Could that be because people don't tend to use CTF games to try and get a lot of kills? You're meant to be... y'know... capturing the flag.
Either way, half the skill of flying is dodging missiles! But not going back onto the game just because you got killed is a bit crazy when it's such a great game.
Such is the beauty of reviews, they're opinions... yours is every bit as valid and you have your own reasons. But saying those who found it to be brilliant are "part of the problem" is a bit over the top.
No, 10/10 for one of the best games around. Not quite the same thing. It's a review of the whole game with the DLC plugged in, not just a review of the DLC. But you know that 'cause you've read the review before commenting, right?
Yep, and you're right what you say, things change and people adapt. What's a shock now will be the norm soon enough.
So a review should just be whether there are any bugs? How can gameplay, sound, music, controls, characterisation or any of that be reviewed without it being an opinion?
I know what you're getting at, but it's just not realistic and wouldn't make an enjoyable review to read in my opinion.
That's EXACTLY what they should be. Saying whether something is any good or not is always going to be an opinion. The guy who reviewed this clearly loved the game and his passion comes through in the review.
Would you rather a review just stated a load of facts and didn't really give you an opinion? Is a game only worthy of a high score if it ticks certain boxes in a pre-written set of criteria?
If everyone reviewed like that, then they wouldn't b...
@BulletToothtony - And that's the problem. People nowadays can't take losing, they're brought up through school being patted on the back for everything, even when things aren't going well they're given a positive slant.
Years later, and competitive situations are ruined because people aren't used to knowing they're not as good as other people.
I'm not having a go at you personally, it's just the state of play for a lot of p...
Because they're jealous about not being better than their friends, performing a glitch is like a badge of honour for some of these people.
Fully deserved though. It's a very very rare masterpiece.
It is. When you see Infamous 2 go onto the PSN for £50, and Red Faction going for a few quid more, it makes you wonder why anyone in their right mind would download a game.
That said, if you're excited about Gears 3 and want one of the others NOW NOW NOW then it's a good deal.
Ok so I should've submitted this as "cheaper than before download" ;)
The article is based on discussions on various gaming sites more than sales figures, if you'd read it properly you'd have known that "sunshine".
Good point about the team sizes, I'll change the wording a bit :)
