See above.
Edit:
Whoops, that makes it seem like I'm agreeing with thxkbye, which I am not. The "see above" was for Pennywise's comment.
That was dramatic. Welcome!
Well, almost everyone (see Big Massacre's comment # 19) seems to think that Square-eenix will NEVER remake FF7. I'm no insider, but I can practically GUARANTEE you that there will eventually be a remake of FF7. Why? Because not doing a remake could quite possibly be the WORST business decision Squeenix has EVER made (and that's saying something).
I understand that they are trying to maximize profits (see FF13 going multi-plat), but to suggest that FF7 won't be remade simply becau...
And thanks, I'm actually intending to get this game and it's good to know how big the install is. I have a 60 gigger that's getting a bit full with movies and stuff.
Tell me you're not one of those people who actually believe that Obama is winning simply because the "liberal media" "support" him? First of all, the "liberal" slant of the media is just something some of the more er... dedicated... republicans have invented to soften the blow of their weakness in the polls. It is an idea put forth by conservative pundits and then validated and propagated by the excruciatingly biased Fox News (I suspect that is a channel you're f...
... how much the cold war mentality still permeates American culture. I mean, I don't want to rag on you Butterfinger, but your fear of Obama simply because you believe he is a proponent of socialism is a belief that I have seen in many, MANY of the pro-McCain voters and which strikes me as kinda silly. First, of all, as many of our co-commentors have pointed out, he is nowhere NEAR socialism. Second of all, in your mind, does socialism = bad? Just automatically, completely and totally bad? B...
But here's my thoughts. I think that the relationship between the 360 and the PS3 is surprisingly similar to that of the HD-DVD vs Bluray wars of earlier this year (and last year). Indeed, the optical media provides a surprisingly apt analogy.
HD-DVD, at first, was quite successful as it was familiar to video makers and manufacturers (because it resembled DVD), offered powerful online connectivity (Bluray didn't have that at the time) and was cheaper to produce. If I need to expl...
1)Gears of War 2: I don't even OWN a 360, but it's hard to imagine this game NOT selling the most, considering how well the original sold. Now I know some will argue that there was no competition for the original, but that still caused people to experience a game that, for the most part, received phenomenal reviews and therefore gave the IP some momentum. With GeOW2 fixing (at least reportedly) the main issues (short campaign, lackluster story) from the first game, it's hard to imagine it not...

I HATE how freakin' short Japanese commercials are. Maybe it's just gaming commercials? But still... They had such a great premise in that commercial, but the abruptness of it really kills it, in my opinion.
Sorry eric100. Now before you and a lot of other Sony fans around here assault me with your pointy, pointy words, I'd like to point out that the only next gen system I own is a PS3.
But it's really hard to disagree with Death. I don't think Home (or the NXE) will win ANYONE over to either side. I certainly don't think there is anyone sitting on the edge of their seat, wallet in hand, desperately waiting for Home to be released. And Death even covered the eventuality of it selling...
I'm going to give you a bubble just because your "max speed" signature makes me laugh every time.
Plus I agree that 12 was by no means a bad FF. It was just good for a different reason than previous FFs. I felt that 12 was really lacking on the story and character front, which is generally what I love about FFs. That being said, the way they managed to eliminate random encounters and introduced the "hunting" sidequests was simply amazing.
I liked the look of the graphics, but the fighting seemed a bit too hectic for me. Then again, that could just be because it's new to me. I suspect it would grow on me once I got used to the system. Plus JRPGs seem to really be moving in this non-turnbased direction.
While there is little doubt in my mind that Sony's price and it's price alone is what is holding it back, it's difficult to imagine them cutting the price any time soon.
First of all, until this most recent price cut, the PS3 had easily been keeping pace and even surpassing the considerably cheaper 360. So you can see why Sony would be reluctant to lower the price, ESPECIALLY since each console sale is COSTING them money. Also, they specifically SAID they don't intend to cut the ...
A "keynote" is short for a "keynote address". It's kinda like an intro speech where the company in question (MS) will be outlining the important details and new products that will be present at whatever conference they are attending (TGS). Think of the speeches each of the big 3 gave at E3.
If Sony were to drop the price on, or maybe a week before Black Friday, it's sales would EXPLODE. There is NO doubt in my mind that pricing is what is holding Sony's big black box back (and I think our good friend LightningPS3 would agree).
That being said, judging by some of Sony's comments and the fact they are still losing money on each console, I really can't see them dropping the price any time this year. That being said, a price drop early next year, when the post-Christmas...
These numbers are about what I would expect considering the dearth of new releases in September. Here's my take:
1)Wii: I still have to admit that I am shocked at how well this system continues to sell. Will it ever end?
2)DS: Popular, as always.
3)PSP: I'm a little surprised by this one. I thought sales would be considerably higher. I actually really have no explanation for this drop.
4)360: With the large price cuts, this doesn't surprise ...
Personally, this actually has me a little worried. I know Level 5 has a fine pedigree and everyone is very excited for this game (as am I), but I'm concerned about the story. I play RPGs primarily for the story and I worry that having 100+ hours of gameplay AND co-op may dilute the narrative. I'm certainly not counting it out, by any means, but it's just something to bear in mind.
My 2 cents.
It's all about Sabin!
"lots of gamers (even more so on the PS3 side) are angry clouded anti social gothic balls of anger anyways."
It's actually impressive that you were able to turn such a well educated, sound comment into a fanboy jab with a single sentence. Heh. I actually am legitimately amused.
Anyways, as many of my co-posters have pointed out, the vast majority of the strikes against Obama are simply ridiculous. He is clearly NOT a terrorist, nor a radical. He is not goin...
