I know most people on this site are exceedingly quick to point out that the PS3 is in no need of course correction and that everything about it is perfect, but let's face it: it's not perfect (don't worry, I myself am a huge PS3 and am going somewhere with this). While I love almost everything about my ps3, from the games, to the blu-ray, to the psn, to everything else, I am more than willing to admit that Sony has f'ed up in the marketing/promotional department.
And a re-launch ...
I'm pretty sure you CAN use it as PVR (your "hard drive recorder for TV").
I live in Canada and I know that the service isn't available here (at least not yet), but I'm pretty sure that, somewhere in Europe (Britain, maybe?) you can buy an attachment for the PS3 that allows you to use it as a PVR.
I'm too lazy to look this up, so someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
Well, I think part of the reason that all these sites have been posting these quasi anti-PS3 articles is because they anticipated a great deal of praise and excitement for Sony coming from everyone else. It turns out that the only people giving Sony any internet high fives are fans like you and I. There have been hardly ANY sites raving about how exciting this is and about how good for gaming it is.
On top of that, the price cut was all but confirmed before Gamescom and so the me...
Someone over at the EA forums either really wanted X-game chat or really likes poop. Or both.
I'm exceedingly happy to hear that Canada's mini-E3 is gaining at least SOME recognition as a viable promotional event. Too bad it's in Toronto, which is a bit too far for me to me to make the trip. Canada's big n' stuff.
On a side note... GOD OF WAR 3 PLAYABLE!?!? That's HUGE! Am I mistaken, or is this the first mention of GOW3 being playable? I'll be very interested to hear some reviews/comments. Despite thoroughly enjoying the first 3 (including CoO), I'm still surprisingly no...
While I agree that the idea that there is some sort of shadowy media conspiracy against KZ2 is ridiculous, it does concern me that this guy might eventually REVIEW the game. His perception of KZ2 has CLEARLY been tainted by this whole ordeal and there is little chance that he could provide an objective opinion on the game. That being said, I don't think all that many people pay attention to Ripten reviews anyways, so I guess the point is moot.
Still... Pretty surprising that a re...
I read one of the Home's releasing tomorrow, and it SAID that it was a world wide release, but then went on to talk exclusively about PAL and Europe areas... Is Home being released for EVERYONE, WORLDWIDE, simultaneously? As a Canadian, will I be going Home tomorrow too?
That milk comment was, quite frankly, the funniest thing I have ever read in ANY internet forum. There is not word in the English language that could possibly describe how funny I found that.
And, as a proud Canadian, I've gotta say that milk in bags is awesome. It tastes 115% baggier.
I don't want to say everyone, but LOTS of PS3 owners have lost complete faith in Squeenix and assume that FF13 is now gonna be a bad game. I think it's going to be epic, mind-numbingly epic.
That being said, I have a nasty feeling that it'll suffer the same fate as FF12: A great world, with interesting new gameplay, but with a weak story and weak characters populating it. Squeenix need to prove that they can write a good story, because I have yet to see evidence of that.

Makes sense for LBP, but what about "Praystation Tree?" It's a japanese invention but they seem to pronounce it in quasi English...
...the Exploramon? Heh heh. Sorry. Couldn't resist.
But Yanikins is right, what's the deal with Japanese commercials featuring all that English? LeetleBeegPranetu, ftw!
Look, there's no denying that Xbox Live is a great service, but I personally think that PSN is also a great service and the gap (if there is a gap at all) would need to be much, MUCH greater before I'd start advocating charging for it. And that's because there is a WORLD of difference between something being a free, plug and play service versus a charged, sign-up required service. So many fewer people would use the service, it would be so much less appealing and it would take a huge selling p...
You silly goose! You do understand that, with an extra year of sales, the attach rate will inevitably be higher? In fact, the difference is far, FAR lower than I would have suspected.
I'm also surprised at the Wii's attach rate. So much for everybody saying how nobody buys games for it. Though I wonder if Wii Sports is included in the count, since it comes with every single console...
It seems like Tarasque was a McCain supporter. Heh heh............
Congrats to Obama! WOooo!
I don't want to completely condemn this game yet, but the graphics are NOT impressive. Sure people can like the art style all they want, the fact of the matter is, from a TECHNICAL standpoint, I'm not impressed.
Second of all, the gameplay doesn't look particularly impressive, in my opinion. Just looks pretty similar to FF12.
My only hope for this game is that it has a good story, and very good loot hunting/character leveling options. If it has those two things, the ...
Though it bothers me that you appear to specifically look for every opportunity to say negative things about the PS3 and its lineup, I at least like that you tend to use a certain amount of logic in your arguments (rather than spewing random negativity). And I agree with some of your criticisms. Here's my perspective on the 4 games you discussed.
1)GT5: No gameplay? Are you serious? There's an entire quasi-demo/half game (GT5:P) out that's sold millions of copies. They have a wor...
I'm as big a PS3 enthusiast as the next guy, and I know people hate metacritic, but R2 is NOT rated higher than GeOW2. At least not according to the dreaded metacritic.
So that takes Uncharted out of your list. Though Motorstorm still seems like an appropriate complaint.
Just to be clear, you consider any type of tax policy in which the rich are charged more than the poor to be marxist? In fact, even flat percentage taxing (say, everyone gets charged 10%) is marxist because wealthy people still pay a large sum of money to the communal pool. You also think unemployment and welfare is also marxist. I just wanted to make sure you included those.
Now to a certain extent, you're right. All these services AND Obama's policies DO embody certain aspects ...
Well played. I didn't notice that. I won't edit it so everyone can enjoy my idiocy!
