The wii did one thing really well... it brought a lot of new clients to the industry unfortunately MOST of them will probably not stick around depending on their money situation. This is really a standard if I'm not mistaken or sourse code that companies can purchase the use of in stead of making up their own and because it's already proven stable it should cause less chance of problems so yes we have them but this is a way for developers to cut costs and focus more on the actuall game.

I loved PC gaming but when you had to start spending over 1K on a system every 2-3 years to keep up and play the game in a quality fashion I just got sick of it. So to me there just trying to push more people to consol gaming.
