Clearly other factors are at play. I have somewhat of a gaming addiction but no way would I ever kill someone over it. Anyone killing people have far greater issues.
So school shootings, rape, theft, and now depresssion...what else can these nutjobs blame gaming for? Been gaming since the 80s and never considered crime, purposely hurting someone, or suffer depression etc.
Solution: own a console and PC like me...problem solved.

I feel the same in a way. Graphics do not automatically make for a good game and the current gen graphics while not up to par with a modern PC are still good enough.
If they ever get caught they are screwed that is why. Nothing to do with pleasing gamers. Pretty sure you can get charged for downtime. Eg if psn make a certain amount of money over a period of time say $1 million they'd have to repay that which I doubt any of these guys could afford. Geohot can't even afford legal fees how could any of these guys repay Sony for a downed service that brings in millions.
