I've never been the kind of guy to go back and replay games, but I bought my sister one of those tiny Genesis from CVS or Walgreens a few years ago. We ended up playing Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine for hours.
The time I've spent with this game is rough. Coming from playing Project Cars, there is very little this game does right from an in-car perspective.
The PT demo was the first time I really took notice of excellent sound design. Silence in horror is perhaps more unsettling than the sound itself.
It's perhaps their most iconic, but there is nothing more serene than soaking in the sites on top of the building in the Last of Us while that beautiful acoustic music plays.
Horror has seen a major upswing in the last couple years. It's in a great spot!
Which part?
Good to see a repositioning towards survival horror after it shifted so far to the action genre.
I know the feeling, though. When I played through Limbo, I remember specifically telling myself 'I'm not going to look up the solution to this puzzle.' Then, after some time, I would break.
I can't even wrap my head around how you begin to notice these small details. I guess I just lack the focus.
There are currently no Personas on PS4, I don't believe. Just buy a Vita and play P4G!
I bought my wife LoZ:OoT to play on her 3DS. She used an online guide the whole way. Very different than the way that I played it back in the day. It is that sense of community and mystery that makes experiences like that so great. PT really captured it as well.
My only real exposure to the series was in P4G on Vita. I find myself really excited for the release of Persona 5 on PS4 next year, though!
They also need to play their reveals a little closer to the chest. Lower that gestation period from reveal to release.
Yeah. I tend to try to just tune out coverage when it is too far out from release. I have the tendency to get exhausted with demo after demo after trailer after trailer.
I'm really looking forward to the collection. I somehow missed BioShock when it came out originally.
I think in the long-run, it won't matter. As internet capabilities allow more people to enjoy 4k, but in the short-term, people expecting 4k video content will be disappointed when they get their PS4 Pro hooked up only to discover it won't stream it.
You'll have to find it on a streaming service.
It will be popular, but Nintendo purists may take issue with it being an endless runner.
This is where the future of Nintendo lies -- their IP on other platforms.
The Trench Run looks awesome!
