PS3 was the son that had to go through some childhood disappointment before reaching it's potential. PS4 will be the prodigy that reminds everyone of gramps and great gramps
well that title certainly states the worst possible scenario. They should definitely release in NA this year if it comes down to us or Japan. We have BF and Christmas to boost sales while Japan doesn't really have a HUGE holiday season.

If anyone saw Fallon last night Guerrilla revealed that Killzone will be a launch title! I hope they have a bundle with it and a larger HDD (500gb at least) for $500 or less. I would pick that one up in a heartbeat (getting the system no matter what but I'm just saying that would make me get the more expensive SKU).
Killzone? Infamous? Destiny and Watchdogs will be noticeably better on PS4/Durango that much should be obvious.
read the mod note. They said PS3 games wouldn't work, but that probably just means disc based games. PSN games transfer to Vita sometimes so I have to think they can transfer to PS4.

I'm hoping for a flat top a la PS2. Makes it better looking when on its side and I can put the controllers on it when I'm done playing. Other than that I trust Sony to make a sexy console. Hell PS2 looks awesome to this day.
Well it's only in NA so really it's 250m max, but they didn't give me anything and I play PS3 A LOT and have over 30 platinums plus I'm a plus member and have downloaded a lot. I do wonder what the criteria is.
This would be amazing even if it were $500 but they should cut out BC to have a $400 option
We won't see price, but they may reveal the release date. Hopefully there's no tsunami this time and they can get it out in all territories by November, though October would be best so they could get the initial demand out of the way before catching the holiday wave to keep numbers just as high as launch.
In order and for me I'd say
1. Games
2. Power
3. Cost
4. Reliability
I'm not worried about reliability (never had a problem with a Sony console and I've owned 4) or power (I'm betting it and xbox will be largely the same and be able to do 1080p 60fps). A quick upscaling and framerate upgrade to PS4 could be done by quantic dream quickly or done by a third party less quickly. Either way it'd be nice. I would also like a Battlefield 3 port like the PC version and a Skyrim port in the same vein. The framerates (both) and MP size (just BF) were terrible on consoles.
last I checked Beyond hasn't come out yet so it would be new and it's a new IP so it's even more new than a lot of games coming out. How is it now "truly" new?
these videos every day of their past consoles are just building the hype even more. You can taste the anticipation (it tastes kinda like pineapples I think, then again I'm eating a pineapple) on the internet. Nextbox better have more than improved Kinect to show off or PS4 announcement will totally steal its thunder. You know Sony will have the exclusives and the power won't be that different.

With a lot of third parties already revealing at PS4 I think MS will show BF, COD, and Kinect
They'll also make some sly remark about actually showing the hardware and all the xbox fanboys will go crazy and act like that's a big deal or they burned Sony (it isn't)
