fallenangel, i checked for being more sure and no, crash is the true mascotte, he's 1 year older than ff7 and 2 year older than metal gear.
he's the first and most recognizible playstation mascotte, more than cloud and snake for sure... then the universal/ND contract finished and we know the story sadly.
