Dude, there isn't/WON'T BE ANYTHING comparable to this. The characters are almost one million polygons. Something only Naughty Dog would achieve next. We will be lucky if we get games with 50k characters this gen in other games on ANY platform.

No minimur 12. Their highest model on PS3 was using around 30k polygons (Jodie in Beyond: Two Souls): http://www.blogcdn.com/www....

Now the characters in The Dark Sorcerer are using around one million polygons : a myth in video games to be achieved but THEY DID IT and they will even get better.

Naughty Dog is doing the same too: 4610d ago 4 agree0 disagreeView comment

Me too. Not only were the graphics very realistic but the performance and the behaviours just made the whole thing look too much natural and just miraculously skipped the uncanny valley for the first time and THIS IS ALL REAL-TIME. Even the CGI Audrey Hepburn in Galaxy Ice Cream add looked very unnatural compared to this REAL-TIME demo which will GET BETTER in a proper video game. I swear that everyone to whom I showed the video and isn't a video game expert, really believed that David Gr...

Well second video title is misleading. It is not like the first one which showcases a specific Nvidia tech (APEX Hair & Fur), it shows the difference between the old render and engine they were using for this game (Red Engine 2 of The Withcer2 which is based on DX9) and their new engine and the use of DX11 features. Expect every DX11 (or equivalent OpenGL) able machine to get those features (including consoles) except for the APEX Hair & Fur (Well I hope they find a way to include so...

maybe the devs could use TressFx on PCs with ATI cards and on consoles too, but I don't think they will. Multiplatformism always relies on forced hardware solutions rather than pure hardworking efforts from the devs.

The best of the article confirming that the demo or their upcoming games are 1080p:

"PlayStation 4: Let the Hardware Shine

After a particularly trying shoot (it’s hard work making people laugh…), the implementation period began and it was time to start playing with version 1.0 of our new PS4 engine.
Then came the first surprise: the graphic quality obtained with relatively little effort was a spectacular improvement on PS3. We obviously expected ...

Well to be honest, Sony hid the new drawbacks of the PS4 under the wow factor of the price and no DRM policies. The most important one was the new PSN morphing into xbox live with pay to play online. This will definitely diminish the number of online players (there are WHOLE countries in the world in which you won't find any PSN Plus user, many of them don't enable online payments). The second drawback, is the idea of the price, it is wicked. In February Sony announced that the new PS...

To the doubters, everything was reamtime running in 1080p: http://abload.de/img/gdeszu...

Edit: at below: Individual hairs casting shadows and not buggy coupled with penetrating sub-surface scattering lights is **** compared to jaggy pixelated hairs (more looking like a brushed mesh than actual hairs) that clips into Lara's back and eats the entire resources of your machine (because it was made by a grap...

Thief and Warframe both using Unreal Engine 3 instead of Unreal Engine 4 on PS4. No number 3 on PS4. What a shame ! The infiltrator demo was really next-gen. Unreal Engine is really next-gen if well used. Yes the question, where is that engine? the engine that shines even on the weakest machines. Is the lowest common denominator of this gen not enough to run it so they need to tweak it (meaning make it look worse) to run it? I really hope not.

Well the only REAL NEXT-GEN graphics show so far (and certain to be ingame, well we kinda hope so) are The Dark Sorcerer and The Order 1886. Everything else is cross gen with just upgraded res on PS4 from BF4, MGS5, AC4, Watch Dogs Thief + Warframe (well using UE3 instead of UE4), let alone the racer of Ubisoft (I thought it was for mobile or sth). Even Infamous and Killzone Shadow Fall had more wow factor in February than now (both having jaggies in their new levels and clunky animations). I...

I remember last year, Square Enix showcased Agni's Philosophy (running on a monster PC with 32gigs of RAM) and they were fiddling with hair, clothes and feathers. It was initially a CGI FMV, then they thought they could achieve those graphics in real-time. I was almost certain that we will enjoy such graphics on FFversus13 since it was thought to be PS4 exclusive. Today we found out that the game is no longer exclusive and the ingame parts looked just slightly upgraded from the PS3 versio...

A shame, the game looked badass well suited for a playstation platform as an exclusive. To be honest, I expected that, seeing that the gameplay phases looked almost like when it was on PS3, no drastic upgrade and nothing compared to the realtime tech demo of AGni's Philosophy (where the CGI of SquareEnix was expected to be ingame). Well you will say we won't have that ingame, I say check again! Check again Deep Down, if not CHECK AGAIN The Order 1886 (The developer in Gametrailers sai...

The developer in Gametrailers said yes it is in-engine but more like ingame than some in-engine, because you won't get models downgarde or quality loss between gameplay and FMVs, everything will be seamless and can even get better. I think this is the most unbelievable graphics I have ever seen. Even for CGI, it is very detailed !

At THE-COMMANDER above I hope the article is saying the truth, but what I read really wounded me whether true or false. I already saw people posting their early copies of the game and even posting the final credits of the game. So, it is possible that those aren't the criminals, but some people they told the ending to. The writer may try to give some hope to people like me, but even what this Kark Hamilton said may be false too. I still appreciate his noble move. Sadly, the damage has alr...

PLEASE read this, I will try to post this in every TLOU article if possible. I am real gamer and I respect real gamers so I don't want your gaming feelings to be wounded.

BE AWARE of people PMing you in various websites, spoiling the ending of the game for you like they did for me! Yes I was a victim of someone who just joined N4G to do this crime and PM me (maybe other unlucky users too) about the ending of the game. It really made me bitter even worse than at the time o...
