Actually there pulling away even faster now. Ps4/xbox isn't even out yet but the specs show that a geforce titan is already 3-4 times faster than the ps4's gpu chip. It used to be closer than that on consoles release dates. Now its not even close a year before there coming out. I really don't mind the aaa devs going console. Kickstarter is starting to show promise and pc games are still being made for a core group of gamers and not trying to cater to everyone and water down games ...
maybe they just thought the physx looked cool on the pc version.
pc's can support 4k and higher resolutions already in gaming nvidia 600 series supports up to 5760 x 1080 and ati/amd supports up to 7680x3200 i believe go to amd.com to check. I'am not saying next gen consoles will have anything around 4k i'am just saying pc's do have that tech but it's funny reading people saying they want the best and pc gaming is to expensive it cracks me up at the beginning of every new console cycle how much people drop on t.v's and consoles comb...

seems like mouse filtering is on also but every console port should have a fov option we don't need to be looking down a tunnel on pc especially when you can snap with the mouse so much faster it gets you dizzy.

im trying to hold out for nvidia maxwell I have gtx 480's sli and corei7 950 @4ghz got really great deals on those 480's awhile back but they do run hot and loud i have a headset and really loud 5.1 to cover em up though and don't see any reason to upgrade until maxwell even if i had the money but things could change i guess, so far the only game i prolly won't be able to run at the very max in 2012 is arma3 but im sure ill be close to max, games like metro last light are grea...
the ppl that disagreed are most likely to young to know how good they were and how competitive, but your right the original gr and expansions have not even been come close to since from the franchise.
its so easy to play games with a controller on pc and steam is releasing a new ui that you can use a controller with to navigate all of steam from the couch or wherever, soon you will be able to have a hardcore gaming rig with mouse and keyboard and then be able to go to the couch turn on steam and it will be like using a console but better you don't have to change disks...and is long as its capable which isn't hard at the moment allot better graphics.

watch the video at the bottom of my link above the prez of epic mike capps says there calling it unreal 3.95
epic actually calls simaratan with dx11 unreal 3.9 so im sure 4.0 won't be to far off of what the next engine will look like for consoles to bad pc gamers with nice rigs could have it now and with kepler and ati 7 series around the corner sli or xfire would prolly run it easily :-( after being optimized they could prolly get it to run on one 560ti pretty insane.
@ closnyc dx10 was the the biggest rebuild of the api since the beginning of the api and they thought it had to be done to make it more efficient and work better with new and upcoming software/hardware features it was basically redone from the ground up and now all future upgrades/updates to dx will be based off dx10 until the next total rebuild of it so dx10 was a very important step for the api, dx11 is basically an optimized version of dx10 with some new features the one most talked about ...
ummm iracing has some of the best physics in gaming period, except for wrecks and when your off the track.
exactly john they don't want to hear the sad truth that we already know, the game will suck most console gamers will prolly play it for a month and then wait to be suckered into future soldier 2,3,4 and 5 which will all be the same watered down game but just map packs that cost 60 dollars, and they will keep making it until people realize it and sales slow down.
ubisoft botched these tom clancy fps genre games anyway, r6 to the first ghost recon were great but after that it went arcadish with 3rd person mode in cover and watered down gunplay for mainstream console gamers, so they can have it and keep it i could care less about that series it went down hill even more than cod which is sad. Pc gamers prolly remember the days were you couldn't sprint after a leg shot and you had no regen or med kits period and 1 to 3 shots and you were dead dependin...

by the time ps4's come out the titan price will be cut in half because maxwell will be out or another kepler. basically im saying pricing will be way different by then. so by the time ps4 comes out theres going to be something faster than titan.... I have 2x670's in my pc and only paid 550
