Activision and IW overstate the their power. They raise the price of PC version and cut mod and dedicated server. Who are they? Just one of the many PC pub/dev. They want to test the max price they could charge for a PC game and re-shape the PC gamers community.
Very simple, just do not buy their game and show our customer power. They will know they made terrible decision.

COD series's core value is on-line match. Without dedicated server means no community behind. Lots of clans rent/own their server and website. Without dedicate dserver means no one will support this game. Activision is destroying their COD series, again, very stupid.
This decision is stupid. I believe there will be no sale for PC version just like Fear 2.
I will pick up this game when the price drop to 9.99 as this incompleted garbage is only worth my money under $10.

I agree with darkecho. I have vista 64 and I don't see any urgent reason to switch to W7. For games, DX11 will come to Vista too, see the reviews from Guru3d, there is no difference for gaming performance between W7 and Vista. VIsta 64 is fine for me.
Now 90% and above PC games are ported from consoles like Xbox360 and PS3. I doubt any game will fully utilizes the power of GT300.

Yes, I agree with the point of this article. I have Core I7 920 and 8800GTX SLI rig but I don't expect I will upgrade to 5870 or GT300 ant time soon as I don't see any significant difference of visual between PC and console. Today almost game ported from console to PC and for example,$500 GTX 295 only provide better FPS and higher textures, nothing more. Even RE5 is console root, I don't see "MUCH" difference between my RE5 on my xbox 360 and my PC on 1080P( I have both versions)...
I guess MS knew X360 can not compete with PS3 in graphic power as PS3 exclusive show the graphic advantages. This strategy could lower the graphic power of future multi-platform games as those games must be identical on both consoles.

I would say wait for the benchmark for gaming from reviewers. Do not trust the hype MS created. I would like to see how fast the final Windows 7 in gaming comparing to my vista 64.
I have Vista 64 and all my games run fine. I will wait for the gaming benchmark for official windows 7 and vista 64. I won't rush to upgrade as DX11 will come to vista too. For me, windows 7 is a wait-and-see. MS is very good at creating hype.
