I don't suport milking gamers but how is that news anyway? Many games, not only from EA, have chapters cut out. Assassin's Creed had them as paid DLC, LA Noire had them. It's sad but nothing new.
How is that related? I'm playing on PS3 and joining the action, also talking my clan friends into it.
Virgin Media, a company which sells phones, reviews a gaming device and says a phone is better. Sure unbiased, sure.
I don't care if their engine is multiplatform or not. I chose one platform to play their game. They demand a full price, I demand a full product. I don't care about anything related to developing problems. If they can't provide, lower the price, refund the broken product. Anything else is stealing and cheating. If they can't find skilled programmers, don't release for the platform. Or go grow potatoes if you can't cope with dev business.
As for your pr...
Looks at the character of Kratos.
Looks at sceneries in Uncharted.
Reads 'texture problems'.
Translates to 'immature programmer problems'.
Done.
People need to use their brains more, not expect anybody to nurse them if they're grown up.
Pay $15 instead of moving your ass off the couch and pull the cord. Only in America.
Because Microsoft adds another R and O to their R&D.
Well, I don't know. I got Fallout 3 DLC for free in PS+, all of them. I played them all too. It was buggy but I finished all quests except for some minor stuff in Broken Steel because it saved my game inside a rock and I couldn't move. Anyway, I'll never buy any Bethesda game again new. Both PC and PS3 games from them I had were terribly buggy.
From the comments above I see that for most people (PC guys posting here a lot) higher resolution = better graphics. I don't agree. If you have low polygon count and simple textures, games will not look more realistic. They will look just more artificial. For example all those GTA4 mods. They look great on screenshots but in motion the overall impression is cartoony, not realistic because higher res textures can't cheat your eye without proper dynamic range of lighting and shadows. <...
Skyrim is a game with huge world map, not a terribly complicated one. It has poor animation, low polygon count and simple textures. The physics engine is also quite cheap. Uncharted has one of the best animation systems available on any gaming platform with tons of overlayed effects. Killzone has particle effects and real time clothing which take up huge chunks of memory. God of War has some of the best scalability of engine and textures in the industry, even if you count PC. All those games ...
@hazardman & Dude420: I don't mind waiting for a game to play. In fact, I wait for many games to get cheaper if I don't think they deserve the full price.
I bought 360 for its exclusives. I wanted to play Halo, Gears, Alan Wake and Limbo. Then it turned out that Limbo came to PS3 and Alan Wake is now on PC. I sold 360 over a year ago and there's still nothing to convince me it was a wrong move. The only game I might want to play is Gears 3. I'm not a fan o...
It's 2012 and some PC games still don't have pad support. Sad.
So according to your logic not owning x360 is fanboyism?
"My 570 has 1.2 gigs of RAM, I think. Could have gotten the 2.5 gig one but I didn't feel like it."
I have an advice for you: never ever again write here about any technical matters because you are an ignorant.
Current graphics cards have 0.5, 1 or 2 GB of VRAM. Not 1.2, not 2.5. It is displayed clearly when you boot your PC and is written in big numbers on the box of the card.
Answering another technical stupidity you just prod...
There is no gaming journalism on Internet. When I want to read that, I buy paper magazines about games. They still have skilled and experienced people who know what they're writing about. You won't get quality for free because qualified people hardly ever work for free. I go to Internet for immediate news but never trust any opinions.
I just wonder... Maybe this input lag on PS3 is related to Region 1? Neither me nor my 20+ friends who play this game have any issues with that. We use a variety of displays and PS3 models. I've seen youtube videos and I believe it exists but I haven't heard from anybody in person about it.
Such practice should be persecuted by law.
Seriously, who cares about the intensity of shadows and colours? I've just played the multiplayer part of ME3 demo and I like it. Will even be better when I play with friends not some random dude. I didn't expect anything from MP part as I'd buy the game anyway for its immense universe and brilliant characters in my fav sci-fi setting. Now it seems that co-op MP will be a nice addition to this.
Going to the store on release day.
