Seems that this game has been getting very good reviews thus far.

Duh, especially if they don't have the right screen/monitor to take fully advantage of the resolutions of the various games.
Going third party would probably sink Nintendo or at least the quality of their games would suffer. Just like how Sega did, so it would be for the best if they stayed in the hardware side of video games as well.

Open world tends to suffer by having somewhat weak stories. RPGs need to be story driven and have a strong over all plot. don't care if they use loads of RPG cliches and stuff if the story is good and any side quests are amusing and/or help out beating the game.
Not to mention there are a lot of side quests that are basically pointless and do little to nothing to help out the player finishing the game.
Never really got the whole photo realism in games and stuff.
People need to calm down until some concrete information on what is going on comes out.
That sorta of sucks, but it also depends on how many users are even using the servers for the online part.
Financially it might not be worth it for Sony to keep it operating.
Though this is one of the reasons why we rarely play any online components of games we buy.

This has been happening since the mid 7th generation or thereabouts. Not like it is a completely new thing.
Hopefully it stops but we won't hold our breath on that happening.
Most games anymore you are basically paying to be a beta tester it seems anymore.
We prefer to play off of discs much easier really. Especially with the size of games nowadays and they will only get worse as time goes on.

It is very unlikely that we will ever see the success of PS2 but not impossible if certain things happen in the industry.

Have been going back to various games from the PS1/2 era and still enjoy them as much as we did when we first played them and stuff.
Yeah we hope so, something concrete would be awesome and stuff.
Well most gamers it seems care more about a vi game looking pretty and a powerful console instead of of good gameplay/mechanics, etc...
