It wasn’t hard, but it was definitely more challenging than most of FFVII (Not that VII was a difficult game in the first place)
Producing. The guy who directed Last Remnant is the director
We know nothing about the world. The themes are interesting reminded me of the older FFs and Former Business Division 4 games I.e Vagrant Story, Final Fantasy XII and Tactics

It’s not an action adventure. We don’t know a thing about characters and stat progression (the most important aspect of a rpg). Do you call other Action RPGs, Action Adventure games too? If so it’s kind of ignorant and flat out wrong.
I hope it’s not on mobile
Suddenly this game has my interes. Haha
unself
Because turn based RPGs are still good in 2022. Just look at Persona 5, MegaTen 5, Bravely Default 2 I can go. I just like to see FF experiment because that’s what’s the franchise is known for. I for to mention the Trails series which shits on most RPGs and those are turn based
Compared to a lot of recent remakes it looks subpar. I’m not surprised considering how bad Ubisoft has become over the years
I have no clue what I’m doing when playing ER, but I enjoy it when I’m not dying
There’s more depth to to the the FFVII Remake’s battle system over the original. This is coming from someone who’s beating the original multiple times
Final Fantasy hasn’t been fully turned based since they introduced the atb system. The franchise has always been about change and evolution rather those changes are good or bad
If you’re suggesting FF16 will be a shallow action game then you haven’t played the battle designer other games: DMC5 and Dragon’s Dogma. Dude knows a thing or two about having a flesh out combat system. Sure I would of like to see a new ATB system or the return of the ATD system, but I’m happy with how 16 is shaping up. I just don’t want to see a CTB based again. The franchise has always been about change rather it’s good or bad.
Nice! I haven’t been this excited for a Final Fantasy since Final Fantasy XII
Disappointed, but take all the time needed. I’m hoping to play it on my steam deck and I hope it lives up to its potential
Square was merging with Enix before Spirits Within Flopped. Actually the merger was put on the back burner because of the flop. Sony has been supporting Square for years even when they had that publishing deal with EA up until they sold they stocks a few years ago.
Those very games carried the franchise lifelong sales… at least half of them.
Hopefully one of those games is a new Deus Ex title.
Why?
Still in development with a new developer who hasn’t been revealed yet
Except FF Vs. 13 getting canned and what became of FF15 wasn’t his fault that was all upper management making numerous stupid decisions. Like 15 only three years of development while building a new engine at the same time that didn’t preform well. Tbh Square kind of screwed over both Nomura and Tabata (reason why he is no longer at Square)
