No, game companies arent getting more "deceptive". The whole industry is more transparent than ever. Interviews with the developers, previews, Twitch streamers, reviews, Youtube, Ustream, PSN Live etc. etc. etc. There are so many ways to check out what a game is all about before you buy it. Ok there are review embargo's, sooooo wait a few days until the reviews come out? You dont HAVE to buy it day one.

It is 2016 man. There is mountains of info on a game before it is released. If these neckbeards STILL bought the game knowing everything they did then sorry, no they dont have a right to bitch and whine about how they were "ripped" off or whatever bullshit they are crying about.

No I dont think it is disingenuous. If Microsoft announced the game for Xbox, hyped it up then three weeks before release said "Just joking! It isnt releasing on Xbox at all! Only PC" THAT would be disingenuous.
