I never said motion controls where the "anti-Christ". They just have never been implented in any meaningful way. That includes Nintendo, Sony with their Move and the absolute joke of a peripheral called the Kinect.
Obviously the discussion on how good the Wiimote was is subjective but there is a reason controllers have remained basically the same for decades. It is comfortable to hold. Playing with the Wiimote and nunchuk for long periods ...
The "achilles heel" was far far more than just shitty console power. First off, once you got over the gimmicky motion controls you quickly realized the Wiimote was absolute shit. Trying to play any games was an exercise in frustration. It was nowhere near 1:1.
Secondly, the online was (and still is) garbage. 87 digit codes to find my friends? Get outta here with that shit.

Haha what?! How old are you? Nintendo's lack of third party support started back when Nintendo stubbornly decided to use cartridges instead of discs with the N64. Way before Microsoft even came on the scene.
It only continued with the mini discs that made it difficult to fit games made for dvd on it.

The touch screen is so stupid (lets take our eyes off the screen to look at a tiny low res screen! Yay?) it just may be the worst controller since the Jaguar. No. The game was shit. The story was shit. Walking around like a dunce looking for stuff to pick and rotate in your hand was shit. The shooting gallery gameplay was shit. The only thing that wasnt shit was the graphics.
