Yes, this generation is gonna be a short one. We're already 3 years in. 3 more years we'll likely get a reveal of next gen. A pro is pointless. I'd reveal next gen in 2026 and have series X be the low end console. Series S unsupported.

The hordes Sod already had is intimidating if they had Days gone level hordes it would be too overwhelming. Sod zombies don't go down easily like days gon. Only headshots 1 tap them otherwise you gotta blow half a clip in them.and that all body if you hit limps their arms and legs come off but they'll still come after you. Plus stamina is already hard too manage. A DG level horde would have to be like final boss type sht for SOD.
Last of us is a soap opera, days gone flat out wasn't good and resident evil while solid lack the survival element that SOD brings.
