My point is that competition drives innovation. No, they probably wont ever match sony, and i think the industry is weaker because of that.
Hopefully sony keeps doing what theyre doing because it will really suck for everyone if they decided to sacrifice quality in their games for whatever reason.

Its not that they directly get paid. More like they dont want to upset the publishers and get blackballed. Getting cut out means no review copies for games down the line. Which means the site looses traffic by not having timely review posts. THEN they lose money lol.

Theyve done a phenomenal job lowering my expectations to a point where i no longer care if starfield is good or not. Bully if it is but Spiderman 2 will be out around that time and that will definitely meet or exceed expectations.
That said, i guess its too much to ask that MS release good first party games. Competition drives innovation and I want MS to match the quality of Sony. We would all be winners if they could just get their stuff together.

Theres merit to that thought. However, aside from PC, when the majority of gamers are playing on one of 2 and a half consoles (sorry nintendo), the access those companies have to these devices will be highly restricted by sony/ms/nin.
We saw with stadia and luna that gamers in general aren’t exactly open to a streaming only platform.
All streaming roads lead to advertisements. Its the only way these companies can make any real money with this type of service. The future of gamepass style services will be the same.
