They already said each planet is fully explorable. So they must have some seed system to make sure there are interesting things to do and see on them.
Awesome
Right. This review is a joke.
There’s always one… The purpose of this collection is game preservation. Even a lazy collection of these games wouldve been enough but they went way above and beyond with the museum extras as well as the “cheats”. Yes, some of the games are bad by todays standards but its crazy to dock the score this much for that reason given the nature of the collection. And you listed the amount of variations and ports as a negative? I think what you are looking for is called shredders revenge. Not sure wh...
Oh man i feel like this author and i have a very similar connection to these games. Im very excite!
You arent reviewing the games in the collection but the presentation and additional features of said collection. A score should not be docked for the reason that modern games play better. The point of this collection is the preservation of 30 year old games, not to update and remaster them.
He still gave it a passable score but he really is being nitpicky just for the sake of not thinking it deserves a better score it seems.
I mean one of his reasons for docking points is “some of the games have aged poorly”.
Yes. But we should be skeptical with all games IMO. Companies market every game as though it is feature complete even when they know otherwise. Ive been burned a few times buying a game at launch but ive finally learned to just wait for reviews.
Your point is valid, though I would say a lot of dev/pubs do this now. Perhaps it stood out back then because the problem wasnt as rampant.
Its silly, but the cowabunga collection is my most anticipated game this year.
Lol your proof is sony? Thats a great example you came up with there. A sample size of one. Hey, whatever you do, dont look any further or you might prove yourself wrong. And definitely dont look at oil companies, food companies, steel companies, home builders… do i even need to mention amazon?
@AKS
Out of all that you honed in on “far” huh? I guess my point is invalid because you arent sure how to quantify an adverb.
This isnt inflation. You cant have inflation when profits and returns are at record highs year over year. This is called gouging. “Inflation” is just the term pushed out from the boardroom to make it seem like everything is out of their control.
I wonder if they will take a page out of the meta playbook and raise the price of it 2 years down the road… sorry, its just so crazy to me that they did that… hardware doesnt work that way.
No one slaps those labels on you for simply criticizing something. They apply those terms when your reasons for not liking something are full of words like “woke” and “leftist”. Because the only people who throw those words around so wantonly are the far right.
Normal, level-headed, critical thinkers dont use buzz-words to “prove” their points.
Quick, someone dump your life savings into these in case they somehow have value in the future!

From the article:
5) easier 100% completion
4) more story focused
3) more traditional style dungeons
2) climbing gear that allows you to climb in the rain
1) increased weapon durability
Disagree with your number 1 and 4. Last think people want is for link to control like Arthur from RDR2 and the exploration was, i believe, perfect. I remember so many moments in BOTW that blew me away.
At least do SOME research before you go around confidently spinning yarns.
